Angels are divine beings that can be sent in by gods. If your standing with a god is particularly good, angels may be sent when you pray or sacrifice - in most cases, they will vanish after some time, as will their equipment. As discovered by Apple, angels can put your severed limbs back. Angels can also be sent down to dispose of you if you annoy your god too much...
