We forgot to add it to the release, so it's on GitHub for now.

With all the patches, fixes and additions since 0.53 pre-release, shouldn't we do a proper release?

Just need some more reviewers on GitHub.

You'll notice there's a new binary available for Mac!!! (thanks to iology (is that mimic on the forum?)

Sorry I missed my September deadline... maybe we need to replace me with Steve the Robot?

In the next IVAN version (0.55) we will have a new victory condition courtesy of red_kangaroo's latest contribution. I'm looking forward to playing that one

Yes we will have a Christmas release. Since the mxe package server is down until further notice [0], we are unable to use our continuous integration tools to build the Windows executables. Instead, it will need to be done "old style", with someone compiling the game on a machine and releasing that. That someone will probably be me, using the msys2 compiler. Unfortunately msys2 doesn't do static compilations very well, so I will have to package a whole bunch of dlls with the exe, which may take some time. If I don't package all the dlls in the zip file, some users will report being unable to run the exe.

So, I will attempt a build by the end of the week, and once it appears can you please let me know if it works for you on your various platforms?

[0] I understand the maintainers of mxe will try to get a new package server up and running on s3 (Amazon), BUT this first requires the packages to be compiled for a suitable platform, such as debian, and that process takes over one hundred hours, a truly gargantuan task, so is unlikely to happen before Christmas. Hopefully they come up with something at least by the new year...

Please try this stuff: https://github.com/Attnam/ivan/releases/tag/v055

I have run out of time today. Can someone post the changes and I will copy them to the release page?

Sadly does not seem to work on Windows 10. Prompts for a missing libpcre-1.dll, but crashes even if you download and add it separately.

Changes:
* Added Freedom for Tweraif victory: It is now possible to win by bringing freedom to Tweraif, and then making sure it stays free. It is a low-ranking win, but at least your village will be safe.
* Considerably reworked Lobh-se.
* Added new shields, amulet, wand and artifacts.
* Added several new materials.
* Buffed regeneration. It now both regrows limbs and speeds up restoration of HP.
* Stamina cost reworked. It will decrease more slowly, balancing powerful artificial limbs better.
* Mana attribute decreases cooldown of magical items.
* Scroll of body switch is once again unwishable.
* Decreased frequency of magical equipment.
* Improved stethoscope display.
* Tweak the effects of prayers.
* You may only become the champion of either Valpurus or Mortifer.
* Increase effects of Wisdom on prayers.
* You can now attempt to steal from shops.
* Added crafting.
* Move saves, bones and config to user directory.
* Add LGTM code quality badges.

Fixes:
* Backtrace.
* Broken vials are no longer fixed into bottles.
* Fix wizard mode autoplay mode.
* Fix heap-use-after-free in go::Handle().
* Harden bitmap::Fill().
* Fix first person being used in crafting messages.
* Fix dialogue of Terra.

+1 for missing libpcre-1.dll on both Win7 and 10.

Well, this is a good change, but I am still pretty sad... Playing as a mistress whip champion was very fun, but overpowered as hell. I should do smth else now. Maybe a run with natural limbs or only kick run, that sound fun.

Changes:

* Considerably reworked Lobh-se.

Lobh-se always seemed kinda unfinished to me... Is there a reward for killing her now?

Changes:

* Added crafting.

But... Why?

Before going to kill her, cause Revolution in NA and then talk to Keathos.

I updated the release, adding libpcre-1.dll. I always miss this one for some reason. I should have checked the exe with Dependancy Walker before I shipped

Does it work for you now?

The next release should be back up to the usual standard. Should be out before the end of the month.
