Those aren't actually things Kaethos says; they are just anagrams that Eagle V came up with using the anagram link Cerumen posted (far as I can tell, anyway).

This was an idea that I had a long time ago, back before attnam.com got the awesomely spiffy facelift (not before attnam.com, though), and one which was unfortunately lost in a semi-crash that resulted in a need to rollback to a time before the one where I'd posted it. However I now have been reminded of it due to thinking of monsters I'd like to see in IVAN, so I present... the doom siren!

Doom sirens sing songs of such intense despair that anyone or anything hearing them is immediately compelled to commit suicide. Otherwise (more) intelligent monsters will quaff sulphuric acid, kamikaze dwarves will set their packs alight, and those without a faster means of killing themselves (asploding wands, traps, etc.) will make do with the most lethal object they have on hand (usually their weapons), until of course the song's effects wear off (which is fortunately only one turn, though for many that will still have been too long). The player, not being immune to this, will have to either acquire some means of stopping up their ears, or will have to find a way to kill the sirens without committing suicide in the process.

I would love to see staircase mimics, which would have a chance of swallowing you whole if you try traveling to the next floor. I've sometimes wondered where they are in other roguelikes, as they seem like the logical evolution of that particular style of dungeon denizen.

(though there *are* floor mimics in some roguelikes)

EDIT: Thinking about this *really* makes me want to repost an idea that got lost a while back in the ideas thread...

That's easy: bear traps are sentient, bloodthirsty savages. They hide this fact until they are sure that their prey cannot escape their fatal bite either through noticing the change or pure speed, then chomp through the neck of those sentients who attempt to release themselves from the somewhat more benign leg-chomp. Until this time, they appear completely inanimate and may indeed be hibernating to save energy until something that is likely to put its neck close to the jaws of the trap in an effort to free itself comes along.

Something very similar happened to me.. "Fatal error: Call to undefined function makeurl() in /home/pigpla/public_html/att/posting.php on line 339" I also got a "forum/ does not exist" error while trying to get to the main forum from the area where replies are written.

....mmmkay. I was of the impression that wizmode wins are less "dishonorable" wins and more "I now win because I say so" wins due to how you get no lasting high score for it and can just go ahead and zip your stats up into the stratosphere.

Nope. Thus the size 1 text.

2. Har.
3. Har.
4. I'm not sure you're guaranteed one of either of those from meteoric steel chests.
5. Har.

Conclusion: No.

Har = you can't do this anywhere but wizmode

Better idea: Ommel cerumen chests!

Your bone files are in the Bones folder (which is in the main IVAN folder). Beyond *that*, though, I know of no way to distinguish one bones file from the next other than adding them one at a time to a fresh install and seeing what you get.

You can use a scroll of change material to make them decrease your total weight even more.
