Wandered into Merka's shop, started poking around, and noticed an active landmine on the floor. So, stepping carefully around it, I made my purchases and left.

A bit later, I heard an explosion and an item appeared next to me.

I went back to Merka's shop... it was empty except for Merka and his guards.

I can only assume a critter stepped on the mine, and the explosion broke a wand of teleport and teleported his entire stock around the level.

Good fella that I am, I've decided to go gather up his items and return them. I'm sure he'll pay me handsomely.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got killed in a very stupid way: Chucking axes at a golem, managed to hit the (formerly friendly) angel behind it which I didn't see. Angel proceeded to murder the fuck out of me.

Haha, beautiful!

Recently, a mustard gas mine spawned in Merka's shop in one of my games. When I got there one of the guards was already dead and I wondered why, until I stepped on the trap. Stupidly enough, I stepped on the same mine a couple more times because I kept forgetting it was there.

Wow, that is very nice, but mines probably shouldn't spawn in shops

I’ve seen plenty of bear traps in shops

That’s a funny story though. What if the creature that triggered the mine had survived? I wonder if Merka and his guards would’ve viewed it as an attack

Also makes me wonder how shops react to hattifatteners

If I remember rightly hattifatteners don't trigger hostile responses. I've done some testing in the past, though that was years back.

Has the Eddy-in-Attnam crash bug been corrected in the new version(s)?

I want to see a map that's spawned as a giant battlefield! 2 teams... one with 100 human fighters, maybe a couple mages, and one with 100 goblins and some large wolves. How awesome would it be to see those 2 sides fighting?

Pretty awesome I'd say. Although those numbers would probably eat a whole processor, right?

That's exactly what I wanted to do as a part of my Aslona quest line.
