Hey ! Recently I've been playing IVAN (CLIVAN, to be precise) with the goal of winning without using arms in the adventure.

I start my adventure off by buying a lot of bananas, eating them then slipping on the peels until both my arms are cut off (this took a lot of tries because the guy would just get hit to the head and die or lose a leg). After training up agi by running on the worldmap for a littlewhile, I enter UT.

YAY ! Boots of kicking ! The best thing I could find for that kind of run.

ENCHANTED boots of kicking !

I arrive at Genetrix Vesana, but I know she's too strong for me atm. I decide to escape the dungeon to go train my LSTR and return later. However, after training (by picking up stuff until reaching "stressed" and then walking on the worldmap), I get hungry. I return to the village...

...only to realize I don't have any gold left ! (I used it all for bananas when I was hungry earlier). There's only one thing left to do...

I kick the shopkeep until he turns to mush and eat his corpse. The banana grower encourager suffered the same fate.

I somehow manage to run away before decos' guards show up, and return to UT to face againt Genetrix.

However, thinking I am still too weak, I pick up some poison and a wand of teleportation, and start thinking of two plans. (The first one involved kicking bottles of poison at genetrix and hoping she would die from it, but it didn't work)

I put down the wand of TP and kick it against the wall until it breaks, teleporting me, genetrix and a few greater carnivorous plants away. I return to the stairs. VICTORY IS MINE (kinda) !

I arrive at Attnam.

I give the scroll to Petrus, and then depart again.

I go kick carnivorous plants in UT, pick up their dead bodies until stressed and then run around while carrying them on the world map to train my LSTR but hunger quickly becomes a problem so I move on to GC.

I enter !

I arrive at GC5 (the 4 first floors were really uneventful, there were only very weak monsters because, having no arms and no weapons, my danger level is really low).

Oh. Well. Lucky me !

I move on to GC6, filled to the brim with zombies, wolves and weak material golems (like beef, balsa, etc...)

I make it to GC8, panicked.

After calming down, I return to GC7 to rest to not be bothered by spawning mushrooms.

However, the Wise Farmer catches up with me and kills me, ending this run. So close... (but not really).

ATTEMPT ONE : FAILED !
I will try this again some time later, hope you enjoyed this ^^

That was amusing. I'm impressed that you got so far, but I guess the lower danger level helps

Did you kill Enner or simply run past him?

Ahaha, I can't believe no-one else considered an armless run. Brilliant!

Back with a second attempt (not over yet, will finish later) :

With his arms freshly ripped off, LEG the human is ready to begin his foot-tastic adventure !

A little while after the start of the adventure, I gets my hands (or rather, feet) on some borken mithril boots ! Might be nice if I get to repair them.

On UT3, an amulet of ESP !

Thanks to the amulet, I quickly locate Genetrix. However, I'm far too weak to defeat her as of right now. I decide to start training LSTR against carnivorous plants, keeping myself burdened for even more training.

During the course of my training, I find a nice Helmet of attractivity +5, and a belt of carrying +1 ! Nice...

After some training, I reach 13 LSTR and Kicking skill of 11. Pretty good, but still not good enough. However, I've found a bottle of vodka, and this gives me an Idea...

I kick the vodka at the plants near Genetrix. Since she doesn't defend against them, this should damage her significantly if I leave them go at it for a little while. Meanwhile, I resume training.

14 LSTR ! (And 13 Per, although I'm not really sure why it increased, but that doesn't matter).

I return to fight genetrix. Since the vodka's effects have ended, I kick out one of the carnivorous plants near her, this way I can fight her one on one.

However, she proves to be still too strong for me. I make a hasty getaway !

...and somehow manage to make it back to UT2 safely. I decide to rest for a while.

While walking around UT2, waiting for Panick to wear off, I see that a room I had previously visited is now full to the brim with giant mushrooms. Sweet, I now have a reliable food source directly inside the dungeon ! Nothing is stopping me from training as much as I want now.

I dispose of them and leave one alive so they can grow back.

I return to UT3, and after a little while, a giant carnivorous plant spawns. Huh. I didn't know genetrix could spawn these. This could be troublesome...

I can't defeat it and have to once again run away...

However, after resting, I come back and this time I overcome it. Nice !

15 LSTR ! Nice !

I return to the Shroom Room and eat giant mushrooms until satiated. Alright, time to try and beat Genetrix again.

Before going, I harden my body armor to allow me to endure more blows.

...to no avail, as I am once again defeated and have to run back. I hatch a new plan.

Or rather, a new-old plan. I decide to once again use a wand of teleportation to zap Genetrix away. I kick the want against the wall, until...

...everything is teleported away, me included. I make way to the stairs...

But genetrix is there ! Feeling confident, I decide to try to take her on again, as she's probably severely damaged already.

After a long battle, I finally succeed in defeating her, if only barely.

I exit UT, and head towards Attnam.

However, when I get there, I face a great dilemma. Which pair of boots to repair (and use) ? (I still have regular Iron boots equipped)

Well, that's it for now. To be continued ! (And help me with the boots dilemma please xD)

You'll want boots of strength, they give a way bigger overall bonus to kicking compared to boots of kicking, by improving leg strength.

What's with the glowing pattern of squares on the visited sections?

I don't think the vodka would work. Even if the other plants next to her are drunk, they won't hit her unless they are trying to hit something else. So you would have to stand next to them and hope that they hit her more than they hit you

I would probably go with boots of kicking over mithril

The boots of kicking will probably be more valuable until you can find boots of strength simply to get your damage up. Fejoa did a pretty sweet investigation into strength vs kicking if you're interested.

Just an artifact from being shrunk slightly, full size is normal.

It's not an issue in this run any more, but I think if you're going to use vodka to get past the plant room, it's best applied to the mother plant. She does the most damage, and confusing her will make some of her attacks target the other plants rather than you. The other plants can't do very much damage to her (or you), and they're easy enough to cut out of the fight before facing genetrix vesana one-on-one.

I didn't have an angle to kick the vodka onto Genetrix, that's why I used it on the little plants.

With a bottle of acid, a well-placed kick, and some patience, you could probably have created the angle you needed.

Sulphuric acid makes a pretty efficient digging implement, but then you have to deal with a puddle of acid. Fortunately there's at least one way to avoid that.
