That's your problem. Re-read my post: did I ever say "clone"? Mirrors retain your equipment. Now, I don't actually know if HHG's even can be mirrored, so perhaps this is just a semantic error on your part.

Ah right, silly me, I used cloning rather than mirroring, no need to be rude

Comrade's problem gave me an idea. Here, tested out in LIVAN, in wizard mode.

Pros: Sometimes teleports Cathedral's property outside of its walls.
Cons: You get chased by orcs and arcanite golems throughout the city.

Haha, awesome (messy too)

I pulled out a magic mushroom invasion in New Attnam early in a regular game. Got Decos' slaves killed, then ended up being murdered by a ghost of a veteran guard... since ghosts apparently see invisible. I forgot to get some Silva wolves for help

All you need to do is put wizard mode to use and transform some of the Attnamese into hattifatteners!

Sadly, nothing like this can work outside of wizard mode - if a hattifattener you tame shoots someone in Attnam, it's considered an attack
Thread Necromancy!

what if you tamed a hattifatener in a real game, then immediatly kicked it upon entering attnam to make it hostile, would its attacks on the townfolk make attnam hostile to you? or would the fact that it isnt your pet bypass the town alarm?

Well Batman...

I just tested this and the answer is no.
A "former pet" hattifattener will in fact run around blasting people without any consequence. The townspeople don't even fight back. This is exploity as hell!

System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.

Another fun way to kill Attnam in WizMode is to summon a ton of veteran dwarves:

I tried the hattifattener thing too, but it really didn't do too much damage once I let it loose in Attnam.

Jesus Christ, how grizzly.
Proudly bringing disaster and mental scarring to Attnam since '05!

Technically yes, but the problem there would be the fact it wanders around of its own accord and only fires off lightning every now and then. So you'd either need a hoard of hattifatteners or you'd have to get lucky and hope it zaps him enough times before his HP regens.

You could clone the hostile ones correct? Sorry for not snipping g the quotes. I am doing this on a cell phone.

Do their blasts break metal doors? Perhaps you could box them in with wands of door creation.

That will turn the town hostile if you zap it in the cathedral.

Would their blasts break wands? You could just drop them.

Lightning so far as I am aware cannot break items on the floor, unfortunately.
You should be able to clone or mirror the hattifatteners, yes.
And the only way you'd be able to keep them in one place is by resurrecting carnivorous plant corpses around them to act as walls since the wand of door creation makes attnam hostile - unfortunately they probably won't last as long as Petrus.

Unfortunately, carnivorous plants aren't all that strong. I've spawned multiple Genetrix in the cathedral and blocked the door with my person so they couldn't get inside, but it's not very effective.
