iirc trying to flip-flop between gods just results in them ALL getting angry. I think it's best to stick with what you're currently worshipping, or those close to its alignment (Those L+/N- etc values)
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.

The genie belt isn't all that great in my books, since it's quite easy to get that belt of levitation before even leaving UT3. Using normal belts is just a waste of a slot. Levitation will save you much more often than that additional 5 AV from the genie belt, since groin shots are really rare with the danger levels you usually have in GC1-4.

Can't beat the ability to just float over those mines too.

Also, I haven't really taken the time to test it, but winning underhandedly against Huang Ming Pong is entirely possible, correct? I think a while ago I had the idea to fill the arena with bear traps, mines, or acid by sneaking in whilst invisible.

An easier way to do it is to lure him out with a string of bananas (he sees them from 4 squares away) and vomit 5-6 times on the spot he usually stands. His legs will eventually dissolve and cause him to panic, at which point the fight is practically impossible to lose. Just make sure you start the fight before he dies in the pool.

Sure, vomiting might cause a small hit to your strength, but one point of strength is nothing compared to getting the belt and skipping Jenny for later training.

I was gonna say a strong trap but I guess if you're trying to skip Jenny you probably wouldn't find a very good one before then

Placing a trap pisses off the townsfolk, I believe.
Munching down giant mushroom corpses is also a much more interesting way to attempt to get levitation to skip Jenny - albeit a huge gamble, if the levitation runs out too soon or when you're on the wrong continent

I am 99% sure you can enter the arena under invisibility. As I recall, you only challenge Huang Ming Pong if he can see you while you're trying to go down the stairs. This way you can also bust open the glass walls and set mines or whatever to kill off the spectators

Maybe you could also lure him outside with food as JoKe said, and then just shut the door on him? Lock it too.

Hmm... I was able to sneak past him invisible, but something set the villagers off, either using a wand of striking on the wall, or placing two big mines. (Can you not wish for a pick / pickaxe?)

Hmm? Maybe setting mines inside the sumo arena alerts the town...
There must be a way! *also drops everything to play IVAN*

EDIT: No... Setting traps angers the townsfolk, sadly. HOWEVER you can use teleportation to get outside the arena walls, and vomit everywhere or cover the floor with broken glass. That works just as well. You could also try spilling sulphuric acid everywhere, but breaking any wall results in the town getting pissed off, so that's incredibly difficult if you haven't got a companion to throw things at - and then you might miss and break a wall anyway.

Anyway, if you really wanted to see the spectators blow up you could just script in some big mines in the dungeon.dat file

Since he can break even adamantine beartraps, the best way to do it is with banana peels. You get plenty of them for free, and it takes a lot of bananas to fulfill the requirement to challenge him in the first place. You just have to be careful that he doesn't kill himself via self-decapitation, but usually you can take off all 4 limbs without too much trouble.

An angel of sophos took care of the genie for me. now its off to distpatch enner. wielding a +4 whip of thievery and a +2 mithril long sword. Helmet of piercing perception, arcanite platemail, spidersilk belt, un-hardened boots of agility +4 and unhardened gloves of dex +1. no wands of mirror/clone to max out my weapons armor on scrolls. have a helm of understanding in the pack as well. wearing an amulet of esp and have a spare.

im having a hard time training stats with this guy, my Astr is still only 10 - I can train int/wiz very quickly. hopefully there is something useful on the level so i can regroup and figure out how to proceed.

went to UT4 and rondol was there, he wasntreally hurting me but i couldnt damage him with my weapons. I need to get my astr up or a bunch more SoEW if i am going to hope to do anything against any of the baddies.

cleared the enner leveland UT4 found a wand of cloning. wandering around with an angel of liefger who just wont dissapear and an angel of vlapurus. got the belt of lev from the sumo then promptly wasted decos. I have 4 scrolls of change material. Rocking a +5 helmet of understanding, arcantie plate +1 , belt of lev, guant of str +3 boots of agi +5 +5 whip of thief and +5 mithril longsword.

I suppose I should bomb to GC 6, ?oDM to find and kill the frog, then regroup again and decide if im ready to waste elpuri.

I think I like playing with the non-artifact weapons better. it seems to control the monster danger a bit (but that could just be in my head)

any advice?

Just based on my own experience, I don't think I would be ready for GC6 or 7 with that armor... I would get everything to at least +5 first. Of course, I don't know what your stats are though

That armor you're wearing is just asking for trouble, arcanite plate +1 and unenchanted levitation belt just isn't enough for your danger level down in GC7.

I find the key to GC6 is ESP, telecontrol, and a lyre of charming or Dulcis' favor. Mystics are great for scitalking and buffs.

Oh yeah, might want to take a wand of fireballs or two with you. I believe there's a Veteran Kamikaze Dwarf who always spawns there...
Also, blowing things up really helps clear the hordes. Worst comes to worst, just flee to the exit and hope you come out in a tight hallway where you can zap a wand of striking down the corridor of enemies that followed you.

Yes I've always seen a veteran kamikaze dwarf on GC6. Also make sure you have some antidote liquid, in case you pick up leprosy. Wand of invisibility really really helps on this level - zombies and dwarves don't see you (I can't remember if orcs do)

Oh damn I meant ESP, telecontrol, and charming for GC7. I agree on invisibility for GC6, but I believe orcs and skeletons have infravision.
