Scabies is the goddess of mutation, disease, and famine. Her alignment is C (chaotic) and her archangel is called Pestilentia.

Praying

Good Effects

When pleased, Scabies will do of the following for you:

  • 1-in-10 chance to spread leprosy to all hostile, non-immune enemies on the level,
 You feel a horrible disease spreading.
  • otherwise, spill poison over nearby enemies,
  • if no monsters are nearby, polymorph the player into a random creature (biased toward powerful, but see Notes).

Bad Effects

When angry, Scabies will do one of the following to you:

  • 1-in-50 chance of forcing the player to eat a LOT of school food (causing heavy poisoning) and lowering their AStr and Dex by 1 point,
 You feel your muscles softening terribly...
  • failing the above, a chance to poison the player for anywhere between 18 and 30 minutes,
 Scabies unleashes all her fury upon you!
  • failing that, infect the player with leprosy.
