Capri, You can get as much Neerc Se'ulbs as you want, just champion pray Mort again (he might give you Angel, cheap bastard, so keep trying). 55 int should be enough to change stuff into GEF/Valpurium, but after you get 50 int/wis go back to the Cathedral and talk to Dolpins. It will boost your mental stats to 100 each or more if you are persistant. That makes you smarter than Ischaldirth, so you can dedect any mage with ESP before he does and squash him like a coward rat he is. Also - drop this armor of yours or change it into GEF ASAP - it will shave only 5 AV from it but it will weight 1000g or so.

Yes. Just remember, the prayer cooldown for Valpurus and Mortifer is SIGNIFICANTLY longer than for any of the other gods.

I know :/ That's partly why I decided to just finish with the Elpuri ending. I've been unburdened almost the entire game but my Agi and Dex never did get trained very well. Elpuri and Golgor Dhan I could handle but I know I wouldn't stand a chance against Sherry or Petrus, and I really wanted a natural limb victory for once.

I killed 56 giant dark frogs, and almost every one was tamed by one of my 3 lyres of charm. They seem to have a rest period where they won't work, so having multiple lyres is useful. That's what provided most of my Int/Wis boost. I also resurrected both mystic dark frogs. Int was 50 but Wis wasn't quite there so I had to go through a ton of SOEA to boost it up to +9 so I could talk to the dolphins.

Here are some final screenshots. I took the whips from a mistress and used them to throw at the numerous floating eyes.

Weird... I don't know why Elpuri's head didn't show up in my inventory. That's the only reason I was burdened for those screenshots.

Why does it say "Sherarax the mistress queen disappears!" (and reappears)?
Ah I see now. Carry on. Looks like you had a lucky escape from that dungeon floor.
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.

Yep it was scary. The up and down stair cases were 2 tiles apart on GC1 and I had narrowly escaped her going down (after returning from sci-talking the dolphins) so I knew she'd be waiting again when I came back up. Fortunately I had a stockpile of wands on the 5th level.

Well congratulations there, quite a nice character you've got, although dex is low (you should try Alveradok's technique against carnivorous plants with banana peels, works wonders). I found out that perma ESP and perma Telecontrol are a must have too, and used the same technique to raise int and wis with giant dark frogs, although I never got it that high. Here's a tip for the next one, you may want to get perma hasted and perma invisibility from a resurrected or tamed mystic dark frog (if you can get the two of them it will be faster), you just need to spend enough time around them and they'll keep casting haste and invisibility on you.

Nice, I'll remember that. Does Dex also drop (like Agi) if you don't keep training it?

I believe so Cap. It isn't really a problem unless you end up having long periods without combat (e.g. having to rush back to Attnam to heal Lycanthropy or leprosy). I always find it hard to maintain a high DEX and AGI though.

Not really. Dex, once trained, drops maybe 4-7 points in an entire playthrough, and that's why it pays off so well

e: Hm, it could be so because I am usually using saal'thul. Maces might prove different in this matter...

DEX and AGI are the hardest to maintain, they drop off faster than any other stat.

IMHO Dex and Agi rise is just for mesuring how much out hero have streched his limbs. Note that sleeping on the soft sofa or comfy bed prevents DexAgi from dropping, but sleeping on the hard ground in real life causes spine pains and overall body stiffness, so does it affects stats in game. Also, altered limb's Dex/Agi is directly derived from material flexibility, in other words how much they can bend before breaking.

wierd so those comfy couches that sometimes appear randomly in the dungeon are actually places you can rest without stat losses? they always seem to appear at the same time as space time eddys, sop i thought they were some kind of Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy joke. interesting to know they serve a purpose.

question: do they appear randomly generated like fountains, or is their appearance tied to some other event? or is it a bug?

You have to sit on the couch/bed before resting in order to avoid the dex/agi losses.

Dex doesn't seem to drop that much to me, and agi drops only when satisfied or burdened, or any combination of those states. So it is important to avoid being even satisfied, because it abuses agi. But anyway, it depends on each char, as I happen to have a character that trains agi fast and I'm around day 14 and it is always going up, right now it is 27, which is the highest I ever managed to have. This came very handy to kill Sherarax in melee, with no artificial limbs, pure melee, thought I could never do that. I just kept waiting to her to come right in front of me (pressing s to search) and hit her without being attacked by, then run again until I left her 1 tile behind, and press s again until she stepped forward, hit and run hit and run and.. that way I could kill her.

Also, it's amazing how Sherarax trains dex and agi, speccially dex, I brought 3 master necromancers to the level and she kept killing zombies one after the other and when I got a chance to sthetoscope her (she had only 1 leg) her dex was up to 120! Its almost double her original stats!

Yeah I recently tried the banana peel trick on some giant plants and dex skyrocketed to 35 and didn't fall back down at for the rest of the game.

Yes, it's really amazing.

Be warned, though, that training your stats that way too early can turn against you when stronger monsters appear and you don't have decent equipment to deal with them. I usually leave the supermegaamazingbananapeel training for later.

Note I said "faster than any other stat". If you know what you're doing you can maintain DEX and AGI quite easily, but they still drop off faster than any other stat.
