So.... as many of you (BDR ) know, I've been meaning to rewrite the website for some time. And honestly, I did start it many times but I never remembered what I had completed, and it wasn't very good, so I always had to start over. But I'm actually making really nice progress now. I'll use this thread to announce all the exciting news as it comes up. So the big news for today is:

You can update your profiles again!

Woo! Updating signatures has been disabled for quite some time, and I think some things such as birthdays were broken. I've tested and everything seems to work. Please let me know if you discover any bugs.

Next big news

Honor Rolls fixed

Honor rolls now include the variant! They default to "0.50" so please look through the 0.50 scores and let me know if there are any you see that you know should not be 0.50. For now I have to manually edit them so just post them in this thread.

I fixed some of them, but most I was uncertain about

Are the general chat forums supposed to show as private in the main view, with the spam section completely gone? Doesn't seem to affect being able to enter the sections.

EDIT: Take that back, I can't enter them either. Am I being regarded as a guest?

So, what parts of the style.css define the color? I also need a way to view the changes I've made... Opening it in Chrome only shows the code.

I'm trying to help but I'm afraid it'd actually be easier for you to do it yourself.

You'll have to save one of the pages of the forum locally, look where it gets its css information, and put your new css file there I think.

Tried searching, there's no mention of style.css on general discussion page... I thought it'd be easy but it appears it is not.

EDIT: I found some mentions that look promising... But I still can't figure out how to try out the changes I make, which leaves me with little options but to give up or learn CSS from the scratch.

I think I managed to replace (nearly) all blues with roughly corresponding gray values, though I needed to change global.css as well to make the 'New Topic' etc. buttons gray.

Disclaimer: it looks worse.
To test, save a copy of any attnam page, replace
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/global.css?v=2">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/themes/blue/silver_023.css?v=2">
by
<link rel="stylesheet" href="global.css?v=2">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css?v=2">
and paste style.css and global.css in the same folder.

Yey! Thanks Eagle, now I'm rolling... Although it's more like a sheet of paper on flat ground than a round stone down a hill.

EDIT: Some plans hastily recolored with paint... I'll do something to header texts and the blue buttons too. I thought I'd leave the text black and keep the background color light. How would you prefer it? If anyone's got screenshots of the old forums, I'd like to see them for reference.

Please tell me what you think.

The yellow and black looks good, better than the other one IMO, though the blue text is horrible - do you want me to try and recreate those colors in css?

Obviously, as it's recolored in paint... And I didn't want to spend hours on the draft only. If it's easier for you to do, then that might be easier. I already spent a few hours on the files, and I found three or four colors I need to change... =P But let's wait for a few comments. The buttons in your black version were just right IMO, and I was going to use them. I'll get back to this.

Comments are be appreciated. I'll be making a traditional black one with yellow text on dark background also at some point.
