Why not open the mushroom level for everyone? Have a side quest from New Attnam that opens to the mushroom level.

Didn't we have a sort of "multiplayer" IVAN that shared bones before?

Yeah, it was that port where you logged in to a server and played there. I believe you could also spectate another player going at it. I loved it!

I don't know if I plan to include a mushroom level on XT. It can always be transplanted to a new, as yet undesigned dungeon however.
I do remember the mushroom level from LIVAN, it was chaotic as hell once those magic mushrooms got going...

Mmm yeah, just the way we like it here!

That would be kind of nice. I always thought it would be nice to have a larger incentive to return to New Attnam from time to time and not just leave it behind.

Yeah, good times. Magic mushrooms polymorphing themselves all the time...

I've always wanted to make puffball mushrooms that make spore clouds.

Spore infestation! Spores infect you and you'll randomly start to spawn hostile mushrooms.

They would of course grow out of the player's head.

It's a bit of a niche situation, but maybe if you regenerate limbs from healing liquid/troll blood while you have the polymorphing status, you should grow a limb of a random flesh-type substance. Not sure how much that would affect game balance.

That is a great idea

I re-read a big chunk of this thread last night. There's some good ideas in here, buried in the back. Lots of crappy item ideas too.

Adapted from an idea earlier in this thread, here's a (low priority) idea: A "Hall of Legends"; nothing particularly gamechanging, just a semi-hidden world-map-accessible empty dungeon full of nods to the IVAN developers (past and present). Maybe a few minor boons.

What kinds of things would we put in there?

"Here lies holybanana, the last of the Old Kings."

I dunno. Just an in-game credits reel.

Which of the names is yours on the list Izzy? (You don't have to divulge it )
I wonder if we need to update the file with the names of our contemporary devs?

I'm of the opinion that the git history speaks for itself as far as modern authorship, but I'll go with the flow.

It would be nice if New Attnam showed as Tweraif on world map after Revolution.
