As far as that meteoric steel room goes, using a wand of door creation and unlocking the door also gives you access to the chest.

And if you can't open the chest itself, you can polymorph it into a bunch of high quality stuff!

Remember: allies are your friends, especially Nefas' Mistresses. Two mistresses = no worries about GC6, ever. High agility also helps if you get wounded and need to run away (just get unburdened and keep running in the wilderness for some training).

One of my tricks to get rid of some of the mines in the minefield is also to bring a mistress, leave her there, and wait until she triggers a chain explosion. Heh. Heh.

Ps. What bonus do rings of fire resistance offer? Putting on two seems to make my player totally immune to regular mines. You can always try putting these on, leaving your wands behind, and then pillaging the minefield...

Meh. Just a question: what other ways of curing leprosy are there apart from the priestess in New Attnam? I guess Seges can also cure it, but that's as far as it goes. One of my characters (champion of Mortifer) got leprosy on GC7 twice, and the second time he got so depressed he decided to commit suicide by vomiting himself to death.

Trading does not affect your relation with Mellis.

It is true, however, that shops are considered "temples" of Mellis, just like the library is a "temple" of Sophos and the smith's and tailor's houses are "temples" of Loricatus (meaning that while there, you can only pray to their aligned gods).

need HP of 450 I think to get him to spawn.

My bet would be less... I once polymorphed into a cave bear and had him spawn. In UT. Ouch.

turoxes (turrii?)

Meh, what's with people making such horrible Scabies-raped Latin plurals? It'd be 'turoces' or 'turoges'. (or maybe ye good olde English plural: turoxen, like oxen)

I'm not an expert on danger level, but don't items in your inventory count too? Dual-wielded turoxes sound pretty cool if you're not concerned about blowing your face off.

You are hit by waves of high sound.
You vomit.
You die.

Death message? Vomited himself to death while unconscious.

(what's funny is that this happened during an enner beast encounter)

You can also vomit on doors if you lose your leg(s) and the door is locked, particularly in UT.

I don't really see much point in changing intelligence for a prehistoric setting - first of all, the default attributes (around 10) represent a "typical human", and if a "typical human" is less or more intelligent, the attributes would be pretty much the same anyway, and second of all - intelligence can just be used for other things, eg. knowledge of performing various magical rituals.

I guess you can look at the kamikaze dwarves as indoctrinated fanatics who barely represent their religion. I mean, they use their holy books to beat enemies on their heads if you take away their gunpowder

And the proof to the funniness of Attnamese gods is that a god finds you a perfectly acceptable candidate for championship if you slaughter his high priest - truly, Valpurus works in mysterious ways.
