Edit Addition: Wow, I keep making mistakes

---------------Update to come---------------

Good thing I don't make a new post when I do this... Anyhow my next post will be a few "Enhanced" (AKA Artifact) Rapiers. At least three of three different power levels being

1) Slight enhancement: Basically a rapier +1
2) Artifact: (On par with other artifact weaponry)
3) Legendary: powerful

apperantly people have trouble even adding my two items to their games

and for good reason... I had a lot of glitches and problems with my current files so my above code is flawed.

These work with the latest LIVAN and IVAN .50 (windows one)

I also left instructions... hopefully this will lead me to a few replies

For TEST PURPOSES ONLY: Please use these in a backup of your IVAN

Hey, do the knuckle and rapier have any special traits, for example whips being unbreakable?

In certain ways

The Rapier in THEORY has a high criticle rate... however in practice it may only just "Stab".
-Though it is a lightweight weapon with nice damage though somewhat fragile

The Knuckle is the only weapon that is classified as unarmed. (No other weapon beyond your bare fists count as such)

I am open for suggestions

PIXIL ART UPDATE

Alright So Lampshayde asked me to redo the coloring on my Rapier (due to to a dark guard) so I did, along with that I also made a few more version of the Rapier.

Some of these may no longer count as a rapier but they do look neat (at least to me)

Also Arcane, In the bottom middle box there is a somewhat large Kunai, you may use that for your mod if you wish (tell me though)

The Bottom right is a Gladus attempt (Failed)

So tell me what you think Ill be looking forward to your posts

UPDATE: Three more Kunais

So I am thinking of a material blitz that is in a way pointless I guess (as more materials are cool but unneeded)

So I am looking for ideas keeping in mind that I can't code (So no really cool materials like Uranium or possibly Oricalcum)

So I have a few ideas so far...

They are listed in order of what they harden into

Light Metals
-Manganese (2/3rd weight if Iron)
-Magnesium (1/2 weight of Iron)
-Oricalcum (1/3rd weight of Iron)
--thinking of adding another there between Magnesium and Oricalcum.

Heavy Metal
-Lead (Hardens into gold heh)

Heavy Metal 2
-Mercury?
-Core Metal (Refers to metal inside the earth's Core)
-Warp Metal (So dense it bends light)

Gases
-Hydrogen
-Helium
--I am going to do something special with these (Though they will never be quite as powerful as the Sol Stone)

Rubber
-Black
-Red
-Blue
-Green
*Don't ask XD*

Radioactive materials
-Uranium
-Plutonium
-Neptunium
-Einsteinium (Maybe not this)
-Scabionium? (Probably not this either)
--My goal is to make them all glowing and explosive (maybe poisonous too)

Magical Material
-Illusion: May not have this harden
-Whispers
-Secret Runes: Maybe not seeing as there are already "Runic" objects...

Evil Materials
-Souls
-Tormented Souls
-Dark Spirits (I think I may just stop at souls)

Evil Material 2
-Death
-Oblivion

Philosophical materials
-Love
-Hatred
-Music
-Battle
-Invincability
Note: These don't harden into eachother
--I actually like the idea of these... a weapon that is just the solidified concept of hatred...

Leathers
-Hot Leather (Hot Pink)
-Black Leather
-Cured Leather?
Note: These don't harden into eachother

Wealth material
-Coal: Hardens into diamond
-Platinum
Note: These don't harden into eachother

Wealth Food Material (I am at a loss of how to order this beyond the fact that Black Pepper is on top)
-Basil
-Mint
-Cinnamon
-Cumin
-Black Pepper (Also known as the King of Peppers)
-Silva Spice (Some sort of imaginary IVAN only spice... Maybe Omel Dandruff XD)

Tell me what you think so far

Who in their right mind would make a weapon out of lead or magnesium? Honestly there are better things to work on than new materials at this point. Try coding some interesting new items instead.
Wait, let me get this straight... you hit the button? OH SHI-

I would Unknown Entity I truely would... but I don't know how to code and there are no FAQs that I know of that teach me how.

I remember when J_Kahvi was recruiting for IVAN production he was looking for Coders and I thought I could join up... then I found out that "Scripter" and "Coder" are not the same.

Ohh well... So basically I am limited ONLY to what is in the scripts

"Who in their right mind would make a weapon out of lead or magnesium?"
-Who would make spears out of Balista? (though I think Lead weapons have existed)
--MOSTLY it is there for the sake of being EasterEgg or something interesting
---My only other comment is not all of these would be weapons. Magnesium (at least in Alloy form) is very light weight

Edit Addition ----------------------------------------------

I should have added this but thank you a LOT for your response, it does tell me what I should give priority

Personally, I like some of the material ideas. Sure, it's a bit pointless to introduce more and more and more materials into the game, but it would also be fun to play with some of these... particularly since materials influence the game in so many ways.

Neonivek: Minor note, but the wood is balsa, not balista or even ballista.

If there is something that definately needs to be done, it is fixing the bugs crashing the game, not materials or items. It would make the game so much better if you wouldn't have to worry about Billboy.
Right, now you killed me. Happy?

There aren't that many that are major and Neonivek's skill level isn't high enough to do them yet.

Don't get me wrong Neo, I'm all for adding new stuff to the game. Just make sure what you're adding makes sense I guess is what I'm trying to say. Having weapons made of magnesium or lead would be utterly retarded. Magnesium would shatter on contact with anything other then flesh, and lead would be ridiculously heavy to the point of worthlessness except maybe as a club or something.

After looking over your list again here are my suggestions to add to the pile you've probably received already:
-No radioactive metals. Who in their right mind would wield a weapon that gives them cancer?
-The evil materials don't seem like they would fit in the game very well IMO, but if you really want to add them then you also need to add some sort of lawful materials and then make wielding them change your allegiance to the gods in a way similar to Mjolak. Should be pretty easy to do and would make them actually unique.
-No mercury, because once again it makes no sense.
-I really like the idea of philosophical materials. You could do some very interesting things with that (love has a chance to charm, for instance).
-The other types of leather would be alright I guess, but don't go overboard. Maybe just add a Cured Leather or Embossed Leather or something since leather isn't used for very long in the game anyways.
-Coal is a great idea, and I don't know why it isn't in the game already. It could be a horrible weapon material, but it easily hardens into diamond with a scroll. Could be cool.
-The food materials are pretty interesting as well, but I'm not sure what their use would actually be. Care to elaborate on that?

That's all I have for now.

The Wealth Food Materials are basically Spices that while giving you a somewhat of a satience boost they are worth much more to be sold. (as that is all I have the skill for)

Well Unknown Entity it looks like Ill have to learn how to do coding to do most of these well. UGH!!! Ohh well.

-UPDATE-

Thinking of putting this on hold if I actually get to help with the ROTK Ivan.

Keep up the work Neonivek. (I didn't say "good work" because I haven't tried it out yet so I don't know if it works or not )
One suggestion, maybe save and attach as PNG instead of JPG just in case of any loss of data from compression

I post them as JPGs mostly because the forum doesn't accept PNGs for some reason.

So do you think I should also include a Zip and RAR file of the PNG files with this?

I am thinking of instead of waiting for Planplan's really helpful program... of just putting them all in and taking a Ivan screenshot of all the items... but that would take hours... so I am going to see if the procrastination holds up.

Updated Responce: Apperantly one of my earlier posts in a PNG somehow... so I am confused

Alright NOW I see... So yeah alright Ill save the next one as a PNG.. and the files are PCX

Now I understand

UPDATE

Alright I got a in game picture of this

It took me HOURS to do this... so the errors (such as poor choice of materials) will stick

I can already see some errors and and places where I need to darken the object's lines.

It will be a while before I fix these... but Thank you for looking and thanks to the people who left comments either here or on the IRC chat I appretiate it.

Now I must SLEEP

The rapiers are looking pretty good. Some of them are looking quite cumbersome though. Notably the polearms.

The Polarms originally created to be used by some giant of a person.

I failed in my design (It was supposed to be a dragon spear) so now they are giant Polearms
