Hiya!

I wish we'd have a guide how to get from 10 to 50 (and therefore 100) Int.

In this thread, post EVERY small idea how to increase Int. Charming monsters, when to sci-talk, which scrolls give the biggest boost... Let's collect data and make it real.

Oh, btw, I noticed, and it is 90% sure, that Int and Wis growth rates differ from char to char, like does Agi.

I attach a sketch of the latest 'guidebook'. Because I love pdf official strategy guides pro edition XP 9000.
Well I assume that a bolt has a given, numeric, amouunt of perwer. (assi in enegri)... unless it's LAERSER SKISKLS POEWN PEWN!

As far as I know science talking is the best way to get there. The gaps can be bridged by reading books. Also wish and change material scrolls seem to give the most int training, as far as scrolls are concerned.

Teleporting helps too somehow.
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

I think sacrificing to gods adds a very small amount to Wisdom. Might help Int, not too sure.

Yes, albeit only controlled teleportation, it seems.

Worshipping at altars will improve wisdom.

angels and frogs
be good with as many gods as possible (6 is easy more is paossible) and pray regularly and you will get lots of angels and arch angels when you get arch angels before 40 wis or angels before 20 wis ditch them on a level and come back to them when you have enough wis. i've had 5-6 archangels waiting for me to hit 40 wis. It makes it worth burning a some cloning and SoEA on a helmet of understanding (or even a wish) to go from 31-32 wis to 40 wis.
Dark frogs kick ass too. Giant dark frogs are common and great. I often kill them and carry their bodies to another level so they don;t rot. use wands of ressurection. got an empty wand? make a 3*3 grid of frogs and break it.
Dulcis of course kicks ass. tame the frogs. lyro of charm too.
don;t just kill those mystic dark frogs they are even better.

Feeding your pets with mutating stuff (bunnies!) may cause them to change into battlemages, necromances, frogs etc. Even sci-talkin with Ivan can help a bit, especially with WIS.

So this was no ommel cerumen int boost tips, but for completions sake...

Pray to sophos when missing limbs and you have a reasonable chance of getting an ommel cerumen limb (hopefully a leg because they weigh more). Time to play with your collection of mithril bear traps in New Attnam or Attnam and then eat that yummy treat. if you want to clone your limb its an easy 50 int/wis without using the heinous ommel cerumen large chest cheat. I think this method is totally legit (though cheap) although i don't use it since I have no prob sci talking to 100+ int/wis.

Depending on whether you play LIVAN, you can clone the Mysterious and Holy Saga of the Pantheon to get 50+ Int and Wis. Does take a shit load of wands with 3 charges and scrolls of charging though.

The pantheon is actually a CVS addition.

Well, if I am correct, you can increase INT with scroll of wishing without consuming it. Reading scroll increases INT slightly. Simply wish for Scroll of Wishing.
Then there is the big problem of getting the scroll.

Ps. I am still very inexprienced with this game.

Actually I don't believe you can wish for a scroll of wishing. I'm checking now.

Edit: Genie wish in a normal game for "scroll of wishing" just gets me "Be more precise!". Switching to wizmode allows me to have a scroll of wishing to try wishing for another scroll of wishing that way, but wizmode lets you do things you wouldn't be allowed to do normally (and thus is not entirely reliable), so in order to properly test this someone has to find a normal game scroll of wishing first, and those are kinda rare. That said, it looks like if this *is* something that you can do with normal scrolls of wishing that then yes, it's an entirely risk-free way to blow your Int score up high as the sky.

Nope, wishing for a scroll of wishing does not work. I tried doing that a long time ago after reading one and not knowing what to wish for. It's also quite easy to check from the script files, there should be a line "IS_WISHABLE: FALSE;" (or something to that extent, can't remember what it actually is) on the entry for scrolls of wishing.

Figures. I remembered it was impossible to clone scrolls of wishing, since if you could do that it'd be a quick trip to cheeseville (clone clone clone, wish for scroll of charging, clone clone clone some more, etc.), and I figured other ways to cheese were also already taken into account (though the ommel cerumen and library tricks were forgotten, they most surely wouldn't be if the devs weren't effectively dead).
