That's what is called a bones level

But hey, if it had good equipment, it could probably count. As for me, I remember finding a broken Mjolak and a helmet of brilliance in the UT. Seriously, one item I would love to find at the beginning of the game would be a strongbox...

Did this dead body perchance occur on the same level as a ghost? If so then it is indeed a bones level.

I think I'll go out on a limb and suggest a more appropriate smiley for you:

I'm going to go out on a limb myself and suggest that perhaps he's referring to "finding" his own dead body. As in he died early in the game.

You never can tell with Comrade...
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

Well, the character's dead.
He got an arm severed by a bear in GC6 (IVANT, so I hadn't passed enner yet.) , tried praying to a god to get it back, and for some reason they really hated him and polymorphed him into a large rat.He was then overloaded, had to drop heaps of stuff as a skeleton moved towards him, and had just got to stressed when the skeleton got there and one shotted him.
The really annoying thing was I had actually found ANOTHER amulet of life saving. but since rats can't use equipment, they were both useless.
Ah well, I guess that's what you get for playing IVAN.

I'm guessing you prayed to Silva. Out of curiosity do you understand how the god system works?

I'm thinking he prayed to Scabies, actually. The bitch once turned me into a rat because she was pleased. Pleased.

Such a change would make sense if there were wererats, or dire rats. As there are not, at best it would be a sign she likes you, but not enough to not play dangerously with you.

Permanent levitation from the first fountain I saw! And I only had to try once. Unfortunately, this makes it nearly impossible to replace limbs.

Permanent levitation? Sounds good to me, maybe you should just stick with natural limbs.

Yes, Cap, permanent, I think we may have just covered it on JConserv but it was in fact determined that once the duration of an effect reaches a certain number, it rolls back over and will not ever wear out.
Proudly bringing disaster and mental scarring to Attnam since '05!

I think it's not the point now, Somagu

Permanent levitation, haste, polycontrol etc. from fountains is a completely different effect. Ever notice that in these rare occurences the message isn't "this wates tastes normal, but there is ann odd after taste"? It's This water tastes very odd. Now THAT message usually indicates You just got a hundred times more lucky than with a temp effect.

HOWEVER, if one would for example have ESP from eating a floating eye, and would happen to drink from a fountain and hit the "temporary ESP effect" a couple of times, it COULD become permanent. Then it's the same as when zapping ~40 wands of haste one oneself.
Well I assume that a bolt has a given, numeric, amouunt of perwer. (assi in enegri)... unless it's LAERSER SKISKLS POEWN PEWN!

Alvers: Temporary effects can be distinguished from permanent effects by text color, I think. Or does that only distinguish inherent from equipment-granted abilities? God I haven't played IVAN in way too long.

Permanent, whether trough equipement or state, is blue, I think.
