There are two kinds of horns: one that induces fear, and one that soothes it. Both horns take time to 'recharge' their effects.

While most weapons and all armor in IVAN can be broken/torn/shattered/etc., there are some items that simply cannot break. This is not because they are truly unbreakable but because there is no corresponding graphic and code for them in the broken state. Invincible items are somewhere between an outright bug and an unimplemented feature. While it would make perfect sense for most of them to break, taking advantage of unbreakable items is not really cheating either.

The Horn of Fear can be hardened all the way to Green Light Crystal and the Horn of Bravery to Diamond. While as of yet horns are among the Invincible Items in all versions of IVAN (variants included), you might want to harden or SoCM the Horn of Bravery to a lighter material. The original item weighs in at a whopping 4200 g - more than most weapons!

Examples

 • Mines and backpacks of gunpowder will not break per se, although they can explode under the right circumstances.
 • Chests can have their locks broken by sufficient force, but will not be destroyed themselves.
 • Amulets are completely invincible, except for the amulet of life saving which vanishes after saving the player from death.
 • All rings, the Lyre of Charm and horns are totally invincible.
 • Scrolls are semi-invincible as they can catch on fire and burn up, but cannot be damaged even by the most powerful weapon. (Superpaper with fire as kryptonite?)
