Strategy
- Unlike all other wands, wand of door creation does not create its doors in a line. Instead, it uses a special "shield beam", which fills three squares adjacent to the user.

- Wand of door creation cannot create doors in squares occupied by monsters, but can replace walls by doors.
- Created door are made of Meteoric Steel, have a random lock and may be generated locked. Thus if you use the wand to cut yourself from a part of the dungeon level, be sure to have a way to circumvent the doors in case they generate locked.
- Breaking the wand creates doors in all squares adjacent to you, making it a great last resort item to enclose yourself if you are caught in the open facing multiple opponents.
