The confusion effect from sirens lasts way too long. I haven't tracked how many in-game days/steps it lasts but I know that I've come up several floors of TX, gone back to Attnam, back to TX, back down, back up, back to Attnam, and back to TX again before it's worn off. It's really almost nauseating

I'm guessing the value keeps compounding, but it needs to be limited to a certain # of steps after the encounter with the siren. Same thing with the loss of stamina effect.

however I took a peak at the code and can't actually see where the sirens are confusing me.

in `ReceiveSirenSong` I see that you can lose stamina, be charmed, or give an item... so where exactly is this confusion effect coming from?

A body switched to an angel in wizard mode. She did gain stats pretty quickly even in UT, and then was able to take on most of Attnam without a problem (except the archangel and Petrus)

Anyways on topic, not sure. Are you able to body switch with any pet even if you wouldn't normally be strong enough to tame them?

Edit: testing in Wizard mode it appears not. So how were you even able to body switch with a mistress torturing chief early in the game? Do they have low taming requirements?

They can be triggered more than once, because they are not exploding but just releasing gas when stepped on. However, they will be discovered when triggered, so you won't randomly trigger them again and again. They also have a high chance of breaking whenever triggered and can be disarmed by picking them up or kicking them from adjacent square.

What do you mean by "they will be discovered"? I didn't see anything visible on the spot where the trap was.

I think it was in GC - maybe they are visible in TX but with the coloration of the floor in GC they're difficult to see? That was one thing I noticed with my skeleton puppies, they're easy to see in the catacombs but nearly invisible in TX.

I definitely don't like that the gas traps seem to go off more than once. Shouldn't triggering it once make the trap disappear? Or at least make it visible to the player so that they know not to go over that same spot again

Just found an amulet of phasing in the first underground TX level. For some reason decided it would be a good idea to visit the veteran kamikaze dwarf on the island? No idea what my plan was but I forgot they would blow themselves up before you’re right next to them

Just learned that some creatures (e.g. spiders) are too small to trigger land mines

But surely he had a weapon, even if it wasn’t special? Just curious

Anyways I like moving the effects to the weapon! I just prefer sticking with the original look if possible (with exceptions of course e.g. green valpurium)
