All I can suggest is "don't return to Oree's Lair in the future".

Do items actually improve final score anyways?

SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
A quick (well, actually it took a while) search of the old forums' archives turned up a score formula, which indicates that monsters killed and ending type may be the sole determiners of your final score. Namely, this:

Quote
A: First the kills of the player and his pets are merged to a single list. Then for every monster type, the score is calculated with the following formula

Score = sqrt(a) * b * b

where

sqrt(a) = Square root of the number of killed monsters of this type
b = Sum of the attributes of a typical monster of this type

The individual scores of the monster types are then added together. You also get a high bonus for winning, depending on your victory type (the score is multiplied by 2, 3, 4 or 5).

I know there was more to it; I'm going to keep looking.

Charming monsters.

Is it? Considering the only methods of charming are magical. Still I could see Charisma playing a part.

Yeah, as I recall the game is balanced currently so when you have 100 CHA an items buy price will roughly equal it's sell price. Unfortunately this means that each point lowers buy prices by something like ~0.5% and raises sell prices by the same.

As far as I know science talking is the best way to get there. The gaps can be bridged by reading books. Also wish and change material scrolls seem to give the most int training, as far as scrolls are concerned.

Aside from which I don't believe lightning will break objects on the ground -- much as acid rain won't melt things laying on the ground.

Alvers: Temporary effects can be distinguished from permanent effects by text color, I think. Or does that only distinguish inherent from equipment-granted abilities? God I haven't played IVAN in way too long.

May I suggest a magical mushroom smiley in honor of Cerumen's discoveries?

Additionally, I suggest in addition to the titles under a user's name, icons from IVAN, if possible?

I second this idea. If I could third it, I would.

I have some skills potentially useful to this endeavor, however getting me to use them might be tricky. I'm not good at completing projects. Here's what I can offer:

C++
Minor Scripting

I'd have to brush up on both though. Like, heavily.

That badge is not yours to give.
