Is there any collected info on the CVs? I just started playing it and I have a few questions. I just found a weeping blade, what does it do and is it worth training?

Weeping blade... I think that's the one that coats itself in acid for extra damage. It's just a short sword otherwise.

I think when you get scars your maximum health drops a couple points.

Acid shield is damn rare. It splashes acid on enemies and their weapons. I don't know how worth it it is, however while I was coding it I did a few tests in WM. It is useless against plants, and worse than useless against any enemy armed with a whip. Other humanoids seem to get fucked by it pretty bad. Just don't be expecting them to drop any weapons for you.

My question about CVS: Did Scabies effect of "leprosy for the whole level" got removed? Also, random polymorph is a bit wacky because 80% of the time you change into a random ghost.

Scars...? I never encountered/noticed them.

In my experience, crystal blades are a good light source, aside from that, they break like no tomorrow.

Re: Scars - if you get one on your torso, you lose 1 HP. If it's on your arms or legs, you will instead lose a statpoint (which kind depends on where it is; leg scars = Agi/Lstr, arm scars = Dex/Astr). I believe head scars might also result in Int/Wis loss, but I don't think I've ever gotten any.

I am guessing venom bkades poison the victim?

also the holy hand grenade of antioch or some such item, how good/dangerous is it.

finally there seems to be no liquid randomly generated besides valdemar (I think this is noted)

How do you get scars? Regular damage? I did remember having my stats drop without any clear reason, so that must have been it.

No. In fact, think of it as a free lump of money.

It self-covers with poison, so roughly, yes.

Apply it before throwing and see yourself. I personally like throwing one inside Decos's temple. Also, in CVS, you can kill the palm leaf slaves as collateral damage without pissing off the whole village

I think it's random but you have a much higher chance of getting one if you drop to dark red or gray in that limb/torso. That's just from my experience. It took me a while to figure out why my HP was dropping as well.

Im not sure if this is the htread for collecting buggy observations as well, but Mortifer seems to be broken in the CVS, I was reccomended by Cruentus and had sacced to get "Very Pleased" at a Mort alter, and was extremely chaotic, but he kept zappiong me every time I prayed.

Not a bug. Like Valpurus you must be declared Champion before he will give you anything, and then after you pray the timer is several days before you can safely pray again. But boy is it worth it!

I thought that is what happens when Cruentus Roccomends me to his master? Plus I got "champion of the cause" from cleptia as well. I got the reccomendation from Cruentus, and sacced my way up to very pleased, but still kept getting blasted.

You thought wrong. Like Atomic said you have to be Mortifer's champion. He really loves the crystal skulls that necromancers drop

Cruentus' recommendation just gives you some favor points with Mortifer. Being Cleptia's champion might help you with Mortifer as well, but again, you need to be Mortifer's champ before he'll help you.

well unless they changed the god code in the CVS only Cruentus and Infuscor (both C-)will help you curry favor with Mortifer (C--). Praying/offering to Scabies and Nefas (C) will have absolutely no effect (neither good nor bad) and praying to Cleptia (C+) will cause you to lose favor with Mortifer.

I havent seen any randomly place landmines in CVS outside of Big room and certain gods alter rooms. Also skeletons all seem to be generated without equipment.

also it seems like enners damage is toned down.

Is it of any value for me to llist all the things I notice about the CVS? I would hate to be wasting peoples time.

Well, it's never a bad thing to post bugs... But as IVAN hasn't seen an official update in three or more years, there is only little chance that anything would happen anyway.

And the people are wasting their own time if they read about stuff they don't want/need/aren't interested in. No-one is obliged to read the yellow topics...

Also there seems to be a new stat, what does it do? Eating the holy bananna gives +1 to all stats but the new one, thats probably a bug.

Yeah, iwas wondering about the willpower stat too. I just started playing my first ever game of IVAN CVS.

Other changes I've noticed that haven;t been commented on yet
1. mellis gives out school food very rarely now so it is no longer a viable method to gain End/HP. This makes the game much harder which is good for me I guess.

2. the "." is no longer a direction key or maybe that is just with Z's 3d version

3. there was something else but i forget what.....

Willpower...
I'm guessing that's your player's resistance to spells?
That would be hella useful.
cursed bloody arsefaced Ishaldric...
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

If I remember aright, Willpower affects your relation with gods. The more Willpower you have, the easier it is to gain favour.
