Finally, after a bunch of flops I have a good game going.

Just killed Ur-Khan. It wasn't bad. When he did get a good hit in, my torso went straight to black, and in those cases I just teleported out, drank some healing liquid, and went back. Most of the time he just missed though or didn't hurt me. So after 4 healing potions I got him.

Killed spider silk as well, and found Golgor Dhan but will leave him alone. It's good to know where he is though.

Question: Is the valpurium golem unique?

You'll beat the game if you stay calm. Good luck, looking good... Valpurium golem is a product of the golemn level, they don't spawn. A bit like Enner, but... I think it counts as an unique. Opinions?

I don't think it counts as an unique, since you can't polymorph into those, right?

<- was polymorphed into a valpurium golem on UT1 at turn 5 after drinking from a fountain, which caused Izzy to spawn.
Right, now you killed me. Happy?

=D ok, I believe you'd remember that. So, Valpurium golemn isn't an unique. It doesn't even have a name...

If I wasn't a nub, and could remember what Ur-Khan is, I could get a generalization of where you were, but looking good!

Valpurium golems spawn like crazy if you have mad skillz like me. Seriously though they spawn often in my games - they are ordinary monsters.

I think I killed two in my win. Or maybe only one? I can't recall. I do remember smashing through octiron golems like a fat kid through cheesecake.

Isn't the valpurium golem in the golem level special though? The one I killed was just randomly on GC2 or something. But I seem to remember that the valpurium golem in the room with all the other golems drops something when he dies. I could just be going insane though

yeah he gives you two scrolls of golem creation, just like the werewolf on the wolf level (soea soew) the orc general in the orc room (6 bottles of stat boosting potions) and I wonder about the dark battlemages in the mage room on GC10-12. I only succeeded in killing them all once.

There's a golem level? Is this LIVAN you're talking about?

IIRC there is a golem room, just like there is a hidden treasure room, and a room with a room inside.

yeah the rooms are random. wolf room is GC2-4, orc and golem are GC 7-8 (9?) and the mage room is gc10-12. I always seem to get the wolf and golem rooms but the orc room doesn;t always appear.

Didn't answer my question, though from the fact that it refers to high-number GC depths I'll assume that it is LIVAN you're talking about.

The valuprium golem from the golem room drops 1 scroll of golem creation. The golem room is not a LIVAN addition.

Seriously? Huh. I could have sworn GC only went to lv 9 in 050. Maybe I'm just retarded is all.

But yeah... I've never seen a room full of golems. Or orcs, for that matter. The wolf one is obvious, it's always there as far as I can tell, but the only other themed monster room I can recall seeing is the frog room before the last down stairs.

you have to go through the portal in elpuri's room to get to GC10 and above. Oree's lair is GC13. I've only made it there a handful of times.

Things get a little ridiculous after the portal...as in you need cloaks of fire and electricity with at least +8 to survive.

It's so intense.
Wait, let me get this straight... you hit the button? OH SHI-

Thanks, the scroll was what I was wondering about.

NO, it's not LIVAN. I also play mainly .50, only tried out some of the variants. There is not a golem level, it's just a room. After you go through the portal (instead of taking Elpuri's head to Petrus), there are some more levels. That's your next mission to beat

I've seen the golem room in GC9.

It is pretty insane below GC9. I just wear a cloak of electricity. When a dwarf gets close, swap it for fire resistance, kill the dwarf, and then put elec back on.
