Got lucky with a broken steel thunder hammer and a scroll of repair on UT1. Ive been rocking it for a while now, it seems pretty nice, how much extra damage does the lightning do?

Also I just found a chamelon whip, it seems dangerous, should I be going with this over the thunder hammer, or should I sell it and concentrate on enchanting the hammer?

I never use those weapons myself but I suppose they can be good if used the right way. I am however fairly certain that both of them are dangerous to you(depending on luck)

The lightning bolt from the thunder hammer bounces just like from a wand of lightning, this means it can bounce right back at you and cause serious injury if you dont have any electricity resistance. Not sure about the damage it does, probably like a wand of lightning.

I've never really learned to use whips at all, I always manage to take a liking to other things. I understand the chameleon whip has a small chance of randomly polymorphing things it hits, this can obviously turn either for or against you.

My recommendation is to keep the hammer if you have electricity resistance, if not, get another weapon, quickly. Not sure about the whip though, I think it's a bit risky to use but likely alot of fun . But do hang on to both of them since they both sell for a nice heap of cash.
Yeah Boi!

All whips are unbreakable actually. However as far as whips are concerned a whip of thievery is probably your best bet, as there's no chance of your opponent suddenly becoming an ommel tooth golem. Plus it'll disarm them from time to time.

Thunder hammers are pretty kick ass against most monsters as long as you're careful about angles. I'm pretty sure you can calculate the path it's going to take. For example if you are "@" and the monster is "F" and the walls are "#"
@ #
 F#
###
You don't want to hit the monster because the bolt will bounce off of the corner of the walls right back at you. But in this scenario:
@
 F
###
You're safe because it'll take a 90 degree angle off the wall.
I'm not entirely sure about that but it does seem to be somewhat predictable.
And anyways if you have sufficient electricity damage it probably won't hurt you (though it may still break your equipment)

I never used the chameleon whip. I am afraid that it will turn the enemy into something powerful.

Thunder hammer is safe if you are VERY careful... but only then.

The stronger the crit whipped by the CW, the lesser the chance that it will poly into something stronger (obviouspost is obvious). I played with it for a while, but it was in the early game. Later, it's not a bad idea, also considering the good damage it does.

In mid-game, the thunder hammer is considerably not-so-dangerous. But the need to relocate and attack from certain angles does apply.

The thunder hammer's greatest advantage is that it is one of the two weapons that can attack multiple foes (the other being Turox).

Seriously, don't make fun of the poor-english-skills-people. Unless they're from England or the US. Then make fun of them all you want.

I dunno. I'm just guessing. I thought he was from Whatchamacallit? In the middle east?

Apparently there's some internet meme at work here. Personally I don't understand how that sort of meme can come into existence in the first place. Was someone just so retarded to type that and think it actually made sense, and then someone else decided to do it too? Or what? I mean honestly...

1. Yes it was an internet meme. Sorry, I won't over-use it anymore.

2. English is not my first language; I am learning it, over 10 years, competing with others in it's usage, but will NEVER get much good at it. That's why my grammar/syntax/use of english sucks.

3. Speaking of hammers - a thunder hammer is one of the things that have a major chance to spawn in the Attnam store, so preferably don't wish for it while still in UT.
