I decided to play a normal game of IVAN, but with one small twist: I was going to make myself listen to the Benny Hill theme song through my entire game. Okay, sounds simple enough, I mean, how many times could that song play before I started making stupid decisions due to anger at the song? Well, the answer is coming in a bit. Anyway, I did my usual thing, starting up the game and naming my guy "Wolf," but then I started Winamp and set the song to go on an endless loop. First thing was first: I grabbed the lantern at UT1 and also got an iron mace +3 that was right next to it. Wow. Good start for me. Okay. Now, I go around UT1, killing stuff to the tune of a saxophone. I grab two healing potions. Yay.

Now, I go to UT2. By this time, the song has played a couple of times already. Now, I go around UT2, eventually fighting a few zombies and having to drink my two healing potions. Then, I grab a bottle of antidote, and a bottle of poison. I drink the poison, then the antidote, effectively canceling out the effects of the two drinks. I noticed that I was beginning to have a small headache. Small, but still there. I looked around for a while, killed a few monsters, and set off some traps at such great moments in the song that it seemed that it was meant to play in the background. Then, I drink from a fountain a few times, and some friendly rats come out. I kill them, one at a time. Then, I drink again, and some conical mommo slimes come out, unfriendly ones. I pray to...Legifer, I think, and he makes a big explosion around me, killing the slimes and splattering slime all over me. Amazingly, my mace makes it through this. So, I finally head to UT3.

By this time, that song has played about 13 times or so, and I AM GOING NUTS. I quickly run around UT3,(I'm playing Nameless's IVANT mod, so this is the big underground lake) and I eventually have to fight a rat, and two bats. I kill the things very angrily, and head into Bob's shop. I kick that punk, because by this point, I'm going insane in about 10 different ways. I try to kill him, but even my mace can't take Bob. I die, right as the song ends for about the 20th time or so.

Long story short: NEVER, EVER LISTEN TO THE BENNY HILL THEME CONTINUOSLY WHILE PLAYING IVAN. You will go insane, I guarantee you of that.

Oh, and I tried to make a video of this adventure, with sound intact, but it didn't work out so well. The recorder was being annoying.

I bet I could not go insane while listening to Benny Hill on endless loop.

I did that once, but with a different song. Didn't drive me mad, but then again, I dunno how bad Benny Hill is.

The song isn't bad, but it's so mind-numbingly repetitive, that it can drive you crazy after a few times. Oh, and I tried a game with the Portal radio song playing in a loop in the background. All that did was make my whole computer run really slow from the amount of work it had to do to keep the game and song flowing consistently, and I ended up getting owned by a zombie in UT1, after drinking the first poison I found, just so I could end the damn thing.
