A category of edged weapons split into two subcategories:
Small Swords
Great starting weapons for their low weight and high speed, it is reasonable to stick with these weapons even into the later game. There are no special short swords, but Saal'Thul and Gorovits family sickle belong here.
Large Swords
Sharp pieces of metal used for chopping the limbs off their rightful owners, large swords are great weapons dealing loads of damage. However, if you wield one of the two-handers, you won't be able to attack more than once per turn and you have lower chance to parry. Still, Flaming sword is a wonderful weapon to have and the magnificent broad sword Justifier also falls in here.
Variants
Certain Variants of the game offer new swords to hack your enemies.
