Most hits will only make a small cloud at the ghoul's square, but landing a critical hit will create a larger cloud that may envelop [[you]] if you're standing in melee range.
Their gassy power notwithstanding, gas-ghouls are basically just [[zombie]]s, so not particularly dangerous. If you have [[Gas Immunity]], you can kill them without trouble.
