So far as I know, non-player creatures don't actually starve.

Being 2 in the morning here, I read this as "IsErnomous"

Don't worry, you're not the only one. It's to be expected since that word is, in fact, what his username is based off.

VLAD... VLAD...

I believe that was Arcane's? Or not? I'm not sure.

I'm not going to pretend I completely understood that, but mayhaps you could have a variety of ConsumeType flags for different rates of burning? Highly flammable, moderately flammable, stuff like that? Possibly add a slow burning wick for lanterns so they eventually burn out, forcing us to grab another one if we haven't already got an alternate light source? This idea could potentially extend to weapons; sticks of dynamite, napalm, etc.

How interesting. They actually take into account whether the monster attacks with its arms, legs or head.

I can't believe I'm contributing with a six year old post.

Anyway, the quote is from the original forums. Look around and you'll find it.

Yes I do imagine smashing a bottle of water against the nearest wall to extinguish yourself looks a bit silly.
"Oh shit, flaming corridor! Time for my grenade of H2O!"
*Dramatically throws bottle of water against the ajacent wall*
*Is covered in glass and water*

On a more serious note:

In the interest of extinguishing fires (among other uses), an ability to 'e'mpty bottles/cans onto nearby squares would come in handy. I'll look into this one when I get a chance (probably early next week; I'll be away for the weekend).
I always thought you should be able to choose a square to throw to. Actually makes bottles of acid usable.

Infravision is "heat-vision" as they like to call it. You won't be seeing anything through flames with that.
