fejoa is the Windows expert, he'll chime in soon I'm sure.

But first of all are you running IVAN.exe from inside the folder? Is there a "Script" folder in the same location? There should be if you are running it from the folder it was extracted in

Another one escaped! I encountered him just a few steps into entering TX. I'm not really sure why he wasn't moving... I think he was drinking a potion on the floor.

That gave me time to escape and head back to Attnam. Desperately searched the shops to see if there was anything I could do and I lucked out.

There was a wand of polymorph. I had to trade in my beautiful artifact mask (forget the name, but it was +1 Int, +1 Wis, and +1 Willpower) in order to afford it. But when I went back to TX I was able to zap him and kill him. As a bonus it turned an item on the floor into a helmet of brilliance so that was a nice consolation for temporarily losing the mask


Sadly that dwarf mine room got me. So stupid. I was 's'earching cautiously multiple times every step but I still missed a land mine.

So I had a helmet of brilliance, mithril two-handed sword +5, soulsteel plate armor, meteoric steel boots, lyre of charm, 1 leg that was changed material (dream cloth or something). So even with all that heavy equipment still had 35 Agility. Was up to 19 charisma, 16 Int. Ahhh, RIP.

I'm mixed on this feature. Currently it's configurable.

Having it turned on is nice, and makes logical sense, but kind of renders Perception useless. Perception used to be one of my favorite things to train (as my multiple bug reports/pull requests about carrots have revealed )

Perhaps the deeper you go, the less visible these lights are.

I think the red gas traps are worse (polymorph gas) because there's really no way to avoid polymorphing unless you're lucky enough to have an item that grants polycontrol, which are far rarer than healing liquid.

However, I did stay in the gas for an extra turn to kick the trap. I have noticed that the sleeping gas doesn't usually kick in unless you exit the gas and step back inside. So maybe if I had left the gas immediately I would've avoided the effect.

I do really like the addition of new trap types. Things like acid, gas, and poison immunity are far more useful than they were before. It would be great to get some new graphics for them.

You know what.... ignore that. I just forgot how freaking tiny the 1x graphics are

I usually do 640x480 at 2x scale, but 800x600 at 1x seems like the graphics are so much smaller. Made my eyes hurt

Sorry should've been more clear. On Mac it kept my settings from before. On Windows the resolution changed... I'll check at home to give more details

used it to zap the dwarf on the island until he died. Took 5 strikes. The bone acts similar to a wand of striking. Of course... out of sight, those bursts of energy were also destroying the walls beyond the island, and once again setting free the other dwarf. This time I didn't even realize it until he was a few steps away and killed me.
