Has the wiki simply vanished temporarily until things are working?

IIRC that's something all angels are meant to be able to do.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the townsfolk work but for most other NPCs or monsters they'll only eat things with negative effects if they have low WIS, and outright refuse to eat rotting things. Everything else is fair game.
There might be a cannibalism check too.

Does leprosy work in Attnam? if so It might be a useful strategy for defeating the town. is petrus affected?

It only affects hostile characters, so you'd have to piss off the town first.
That means it'll never kick in and drop limbs off dudes before they get to you.

Yep, leprosy accelerates the rate at which you naturally lose ASTR, LSTR, AGI, DEX, END and CHA experience.

As for the mages... I dunno, I think they can cast spells even without any limbs so...

Leprosy does affect monsters, the problem is that it takes too long for it to do anything and by the time they've lost enough limbs to stop being a threat you'd probably have run into and killed them already.

Scabies' poison on nearby monsters does just spawn a blob of poison on top of them - 500 units worth of it.
Spilling poison on a monster will in fact poison them if they're vulnerable to poison - you don't have to "inject" it via dipping a weapon in poison. You can test this yourself since the game does actually notify you when a monster gets poisoned - "X looks very ill" and all.

Better yet? If you lop a limb off said monster in the shop and it hits (or sails past) a guard or the shopkeeper OH IT'S ON NOW SON

The asshole will also lay claim to the possessions of monsters you kill inside his shop, after watching you kill them right in front of him and his 4 guards.

Hmm, we should probably put that in the bugs thread then for further investigation.

so does that mean a kobold lord will replace his iron spear +2 with a steel spear -4, for example? That's weird. Haven't noticed that happening before.

Yes indeed. Some people like to carry around piles of heavily disenchanted equipment to make some of the named enemies easier.

What causes monsters to spawn with ridiculously negative-enchanted equipment from time to time? I mean, sure, you see variable enchants on monster equipment usually, but then sometimes there is that one monster that has -4 and -5 on every piece of its equipment. It seems to most often occur on skeletons, but I recently killed an Ur-Khan whose equipment was junk like that.

Skeletons spawn with equipment that is pre-disenchanted by -2 before it's even rolled, so they naturally have a higher chance of having ass equipment. And that's on top of the chance of the equipment being naturally enchanted (or disenchanted).

As for Ur-khan it's reasonably likely he just picked up that ass equipment - due to the way the game code works, enemy AI will always try to equip anything it finds with a higher enchantment than what it currently has - regardless of whether that enchantment is negative or not.
