i noticed that two prayer effects if he/she likes you are spill poison and gives leprosy to monsters.

Do monsters get affected by leprosy, and will being covered in poison actually poison them?

if the answer to theses questions is no, it would seem that scabies is a bit broken.

Poison affects some monsters, but leprosy won't really do a lot.
Proudly bringing disaster and mental scarring to Attnam since '05!

does the poison effect actually poison the enemies, or spill poison on them? It would seem that both 'positive' prayer effects really only cause negative outcomes for the player.

should leprosy affect monsters?

Leprosy does affect monsters, the problem is that it takes too long for it to do anything and by the time they've lost enough limbs to stop being a threat you'd probably have run into and killed them already.

Scabies' poison on nearby monsters does just spawn a blob of poison on top of them - 500 units worth of it.
Spilling poison on a monster will in fact poison them if they're vulnerable to poison - you don't have to "inject" it via dipping a weapon in poison. You can test this yourself since the game does actually notify you when a monster gets poisoned - "X looks very ill" and all.

System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.

Yep and spilled fluids call a function which applies effects to whatever they are touching, so rusting things and poisoning characters etc. (I know this now since I am working on putting out flames at the moment).

Doesn't Leprosy accelerate the reduction of attributes like Cha? Or am I thinking of Lycanthropy?

What about praying to scabies so that all the mages in the mage room get leprosy? Does that shut them down easily?

Yep, leprosy accelerates the rate at which you naturally lose ASTR, LSTR, AGI, DEX, END and CHA experience.

As for the mages... I dunno, I think they can cast spells even without any limbs so...

They can, in fact, cast without any limbs whatsoever. What's more, the speed at which they cast spells don't seem to have anything to do with their AGI. So leprosy does absolutely nothing to make mages less threatening.

Scabies is useless and more trouble than she's worth - she recently transformed me into a pork golem and I had to summon a mistress from Nefas to keep me safe (granted, the floor was almost empty, but you never know when new monsters spawn). Does the monsters' leprosy spread to you if they hit you enough? Because if it does, then it makes her truly terribad. Also, the only way to use leprosy would be to cast it when you enter a level and then wait a long time, which is just not how I tend to play IVAN (particularly because you are eternally racing the clock for your AGI stat if you have natural limbs and aren't unburdened, or even if so).

Well, if you have high DEX then it could help, since you'll likely be beheading the limbless mages on the first shot rather than wasting time chopping their arms off.

It only affects hostile characters, so you'd have to piss off the town first.
That means it'll never kick in and drop limbs off dudes before they get to you.

Yes.

Also, regarding Attnam, you could bring in a disease-ridden corpse and drop it off for the townsfolk to consume, would that work in spreading leprosy?

I imagine it would, but I don't think they'd eat it in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the townsfolk work but for most other NPCs or monsters they'll only eat things with negative effects if they have low WIS, and outright refuse to eat rotting things. Everything else is fair game.
There might be a cannibalism check too.

I think that that scabies could be viable if you tame a bunch of people first. Assuming that it affects petrus
