Say you find a level with a bunch of zombies, and kill all of them. Necromancers keep appearing and resurrecting them, which annoys the hell out of you. Is there any way to "permanently" get rid of them (until the necromancers summon more, and after you kill those ones you will then get rid of them, etc.)

What i mean is... as long as the torsos are gone, they can't resurrect right? So how do you get rid of the torsos? Fireball them? (I think I tried that without any luck). Polymorph them? That would be a waste of polymorph. The only thing I can think of is eating them and then drinking antidote liquid. Any thoughts?

Perhaps putting the torsos in a treasure chest would stop them from respawning. Or can you offer them to the gods?
Wait, let me get this straight... you hit the button? OH SHI-

Nah chest don;t work they just pop out when ressurected. I learned this when I was trying to save some Dark Mage corpses from being turned into zombies by putting them into a chest so that I could run to my wand stash and get a ressurection wand.

Sulphuric acid works but is very slow. Kenny works well while he is hungry as do other pets like polar bears or Vladimir. But they won't eat them all. Silvas wolves work. eating them yourself works. taming hordes of blinkdogs. the best method though is to have high AGI, high Int and ESP. then just run up to any necromancers as soon as they appear and kill them. I regularly clean out GC6 completely this way. Also its been a long time but if you tame an elite guard or too they get kickass fast and strong and will easily clear GC6 in no time. I had one gey get to 85 armstrength. the only problem was he got killed on gc 11 and his zombie one shotted me

Yeah, I think eating them or polymorphing them into something else is the only way to do it. Or luggin them around until they rot away. Not recommended
Although Slob, are you saying acid can destroy corpses? I didn't think they could be destroyed at all.

I don't know if acid works on corpses, but acid on a "living" torso can melt it down into lumps of meat.

Also Slob, did you ever try locking the chests with the corpses inside?

I just tested in Wizard mode. I figure the only god who would accept a corpse is Scabies. But whenever you try it says it is "too important" for you to sacrifice.

Corpses are non-sacrificeable. It would make sense for Scabies, Mortifer, and Cruentus to accept some corpse sacrifices, however.
