Added some of my high scores. I had some more Elpuri wins on a previous installation of IVAN which got deleted because it wouldn't run anymore. All my wins are no artificial limbs, no cerumen abuse (SoCM large chest trick).

JESUS christ slob. Look at all those wins. WTF hax.

EDIT: Also I noticed the existing honor rolls don't show the version any given score was achieved with.

Once you win once it gets easier. I'm sure you could repeat you elpuri win if you tried. What can I say, I enjoy playing IVAN. Still need to get a high priest ending.

Rather than just the top 25 scores and amusing deaths, there should also be the names of all the people who have beaten the game, what variant they beat it with and how.

Also, the rules. No ommel cerumen, etc. I don't remember them all right now.

Slob: Actually I've yet to find another Mortifer altar. And all my CVS attempts have ended poorly.

I always play 0.50. what did you win on again.

You like Neerc Seulb eh? It's pretty easy to get super chaotic, Cruentus and infuscor can get you to champ status with mortifer. I always seem to find lots of mortifer books too. Kill kamikaze dwarves and get their books Plus you can kill Decos and his guards and eat their flesh. Should,'t be too hard to get another Neerc Seulb. Do;t forget about the polymorph altar trick but I guess that could be time consuming.

You could always try winning with another strategy too. Mine seems to work well.

My win was 050, dual-wielding Neerc se'Ulb. I believe one was +10 and the other +11. May have been higher however.

However the problem isn't really reproducing the same win, so much as trying to win with a different tactic. I don't want to just do the same thing over again. I would like to score a lawful win, preferably with Valpurus' gifts. However thus far I've only managed to get the shield once since my win, and I starved to death shortly thereafter.

Also, you did say "repeat your Elpuri win", which made me think you were suggesting I try the same tactic again for another similar win.

I've won a few times but it was pretty much the same guy every time I guess I ought to challenge myself with a lawful or chaotic guy (I've always been neutral leaning chaotic - Loricatus & Mellis)

Valpurus gifts really suck unless you get them at the beginning of the game. If i had a choice i would prefer the shield to the sword that way you could build up weapon experience with a valpurium shield and wouldn;t have to lose experience when you socm you arcanite/octriron shield to valpurium. I wish Valpurus would at least give you a flaming valpurium sword so that it did some special damage. I did play one game where i got both gifts form Valpurus - I found a 2 yres of charm and charmed all the dwarves in the Cathedral. 6 dwarves at once, 6 books at once, it was easy to become a champ. I think i ended up switching to Vermis though - can't recall if this game was a win.

Do you want to try a joint game, we could play it like best ball in golf, we start out with the same character, do a level and then decide which "ball" to play, do another level etc until Elpuri's head gets delivered. We could decide on tactics before hand, regarding alignment, wepon choice, style etc.

We could.

Slob: Agreed on the gifts are best early. My Mortifer win got his first Neerc on UT2, after a lot of polypiling.
