Also in the first picture, isn't that the remains of the kamikaze dwarf on that island? Maybe something like a gas trap spawned on his island and he died before you even saw him?

I teleported him off the island once. I wanted to get the chest off the island so I could open it. And I forgot how much worse veteran kamikaze dwarves are than regular ones. I didn't last long

I teleport the chest. Even though it takes a bit more time to find the chest, at least I don't have to worry about my ass being blown up.

I just underestimated him. I was aiming for the chest but he got in the way but I was like "oh well, it's just a kamikaze dwarf"... famous last words

Anyways are you sure you didn't zap the wand of teleport down the hall? Before you discovered that the island was in the path? I think I did that once as well
