Is there any way to counter mystery dark frog spells?

Unfortunately this is the only way at the moment. There was some talk of methods to resist these spells, but it didn't materialize into any concrete plans.

Personally I'm inclined to think an item (amulet, probably) would be the best solution, as opposed to a new stat to train.

Maybe Will attribute does something about it? I didn't find a wiki page about it

There have been suggestions that the willpower attribute should help, but it doesn't at the moment.
Telecontrol will help when the frog teleports you, spare equipment (and not keeping all your stuff in one chest) will help when it teleports your stuff, and electricity resistance will help when it tries to kill you.
