Fountains

from the shoutbox - Do fountains only transport you lower into a dungeon, or is the level port always to a lower level?

To any other fountain in the dungeon. That's why you pop out at another fountain. Your best bet, if transported beyond your depth thus, is to chug away at the end fountain and hope you get thrown back.

These are some experiences I've had with the slot machine fountain. [heuhue]


A.) Water tastes VERY good
1.) Satisfies hunger
*2.) stuck polymorphing [had it before...pain in the ass....polymorphed into a spider fighting a kold....STOMP!!]
*3.) teleport control
*4.) teleport randomly

* I think thats the trigger to this effect


B.) water tastes good
Fills hunger

C.) Yuck! water is contaminated! [lose a random stat point]

D.) the fountain sucks you in! [random teleport to another fountain on the same level or random level] [EDIT: covers you in water...possibly rusting your armor]

E.) Something pops out of the fountain!
chance of:
Spiders
Snakes
Large rats
green/brown slime
Friendly Spiders
Friendly Snakes
Friendly Rats

F.) The marble fountain dries out.
[each chance you drink from it this might happen]

Pickaxe + Fountain!!!!

In my head i expected the fountain to be destroyed! >

Sitting in the fountain
you sit for some time....water falls on your head...you feel like a moron...

kicking the fountain
your weak kick has no effect on the fountain......had 15 lstr at the time...
