kehehehehe.

It's no bug....but should assassins be a bit more beefy?

Now thats a fresh killed assassin he just died from my dagger of venom or it might of been my acid shield.
Ether way he died a horrible death

[don't worry assassin the game will soon enough send a overpowered champion to chop my into little pieces.]

Lol. I think this is related to the other active topic about monster sizes. Assassins were set to be only 3g so that they'd be extremely hard to hit.

I've compared Assassins to bloody water balloons. Because they die pretty quick and explode in a shower of blood that rusts the absolute shit out of anything and everything metal on you.
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

huehuehue I get it.

What about the size of the assassin.
have the same mass of a normal human but a higher agility/dexterity and smaller size.

Never came across those water balloons you've talked about....but a weapon [METAL] dagger of venom always rusts because it covers itself in poison.

the guy in the image above always has that problem. XD

Oh but you have come across the waterballoons! Just look at your guy's gear in that image - it's completely soaked in assassin juice!
Of course that doesn't matter if you're using cloth armors but it really sucks when I try using say, chainmail or metal boots and have them rust right off my person.

I played this version a year before and noticed an interesting thing:
1. There were magic mushrooms that occupied dungeon levels (in underwater tunnel branch) - up to 50% of level is filled with them. First they were causing problems, but later I begun farming on them, having 20-22 stat points. Eventually they were polymorphing themselves into adamant golems and other interesting enemies, which was funny.
I don't remember such thing in LIVAN. Possibly, it is a CLIVAN bug (or feature).

And if you can spend some time on CLIVAN, I would suggest to fix issue:
2. Assasins' body parts have negative mass... So at some point I found myself farming assasins, killing them with wands of fireballs and disentegration (which I cloned for that), having 50+ their bodyparts in my backpack... And this thing spoils the game (in my opinion).

And suggestion, which seems to be easy to implement:
3.1 Offer items to god not one-by-one, but the whole stack of items laying on floor.
Rationale: if I have 30+ items to offer, doing it one by one is wearing me down; I sometimes consider to play without (minor) gods at all.
3.2 (Controversial, will simplify gameplay considerably). Allow to offer items outside an altar, at any place.
Rationale: I'm tired to carry large amounts of lamps, cheap weapons and etc. to altars when I just need to increase relations with god. In game Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup it is done like I suggested above: you need to pray over stack of items to sacrifice them.

Could just cause assassin flesh to spoil really quickly...
3.1 is an interesting suggestion. I agree, the fetch-quest element needs to be toned down a bit.
Sadly at the moment CLIVAN is not being worked on, seeing as there is this albeit slow-moving line of development.

In the case there will ever be new release of CLIVAN (and I'd really appreciate thet ) may I suggest the Kharaz-Arad to be reworked slightly?

1) Add some more treasure to the Vault. It feels just sad and empty right now, especially considering the Attnam's cathedral treasure room. What about at least some precious stones, rings or other items to be in that empty room in the Vault? That would help in my eyes.

2) Not sure how, but would it be possible to make stealing the artefacts more difficult? You only need to pick the shirt up and teleport away. Bringing single blink dog corpse and a wand of teleportation with you makes the escape way too primitive, once you are out of the Vault, the guards will never catch you. Maybe turn the guards on GC4 also hostile if you have any of the artefacts with you? Add a single dark mage to the Denim's retinue so you can be at least blasted by him if you teleport?

Hmmm... Anti teleport fields, anyone? Maybe some sort of stone, that makes using / casting wands and spells more difficult by increasing the minimum wis / int requirements.

There's something in CLIVAN that stops you from teleporting into a room if this device is present. I think it causes an explosion as well.

Sorry if it was mentioned before, but I think the ring of thieves quest is bugged - Raven tells you he gives you Gleipnir for your success, but you only get spider silk whip of thievery, no name or anything and about two points less damage than Gleipnir.

Another bug: The game refers in plural to the large and mysterious saga of the pantheonS rather than sagaS of the pantheon.

We don't have a download link for CLIVAN listed in Downloads > Variants > CLIVAN. Could we add one?
