that repeatedly praying to loricritus to turn things to banana flesh while trying to fight the sumo will cause him to summon his arch-angel to kill you? ruh-roh

I managed to teleport away finally, but I had to use a lot of charges of tele, since 1 turn after it appeared my blink dog telecontrol wore off. THANKS RNG!

also, I have a damaged material arm. is there a way to remove it so I can natural limb it again? or do I have to wait for it to be destroyed naturally?

You could try bear traps or pissing off a mistress. Did Loricatus perhaps turn your legs into bananas?
Alternatively if it's a rustable metal, just throw a bottle of water into a wall next to you and hope it rusts off, or if it's a food material you can simply wait for it to rot - if you don't starve first!
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.

I've always wondered about the best way to get rid of an artificial limb. Last time, i had one made of some type of fabric, so I went to the wolf level without any boot on that leg and it got bitten off pretty quickly.

That's pretty clever though, I never thought about praying to Loricatus to intentionally get free banana flesh!

It's one of the oldest known tricks and well known to many of us, so it hasn't been discussed in a long while. Most effective way to make use of it is to wield an empty, large chest. Enough food to fill you up many times over. That said, it really isn't worth pissing off Loricatus unless you're starving or you're going for lawful/chaos.

I almost always go for Lawful to get the armor and then switch to chaos. I've never been able to get a feel for playing with the Neutral gods. somebody should write a FAQ for playing neutral.

FAQ for playing neutral: sacrifice all the weapons and armor on the level to Loricatus, and all the valuable objects (stones etc) to Mellis. Pray to Loricatus/Mellis every time the prayer cooldown wears off. Silva should start to like you too, although I don't find prayers to Silva to be that useful, really.

I personally tend to stick to Loricatus. Mostly because his effects are pretty easy to use and he's pretty easy to keep happy.

Loricatus + Mellis is usually what I do. Mellis's liquids are great, and Loricatus if you're having a hard time finding an artifact weapon, he's great for at least turning your ordinary iron mace into a nice meteoric steel one

Loricatus is great if you're having bad luck with scrolls. Not only does he harden the iron chain of materials, there's the odd enchantment and, even more rarely, scrolls of hardening/enchantment. As well as the fact that you can make use of him even when he doesn't like you

Mellis is quite handy as well. With the free bottle/can refills there's the odd chance you'll get stat-improving stuff. Not to mention you'll never go hungry. If I remember aright, he also fixes broken bottles and regenerates bananas if you have the peels.

I guess it's tough when your artificial limb is much stronger than your others. I was lucky I got fabric so it ripped off easily

Yes, he does the broken bottles, but I think I got the banana peels wrong. That's the wand of resurrection.
