It's time to renew the Attnam.com domain again. It'd be nice to renew for several years in advance so that we don't have to worry about it. I pay for the hosting, which is fine, since I host several domains on the same server. The domain itself is ~$11/yr, not much at all. If anybody is interested in contributing even a little bit, send through Paypal to [removed]

I'll keep a list of "supporting members" and also stick a badge under your username. The amount you donate will be private, whether it's $1 or $10, any amount is appreciated. Let's do this until the end of October. After that I'll tally the amount and renew for whatever length of time it matches. I'll round up and pay the difference.

Erno and I will each pay for 1 year. So we're good until 2012. Who else wants to help?

P.S. - Beta is coming soon! I promise!

Thank you to these supporting members!

Sounds good to me! Capn's definitely deserved it.

EDIT: I'm curious to know how much money we've managed to raise so far.

So far we've raised about $125, which is 12 years! I didn't want to post the amount because then people could figure out how much somebody else donated, but we have enough contributors now that that isn't an issue.

It does seem silly to pay that far in advance. Thanks for the thought Erno; I will renew for 6 years and put the rest towards the actual web hosting then.

I'm completely fine with Cap keeping the rest as drinking money, consider it a "Thank you for this site"

lol! yeah, when you drive acroos the backroads of this country you realize how empty most of it is. I like looking at those nightime maps from space where they show the concentration of civilization and you start to realize that the country is a big place. I like reading state department stats on the states. you realize things like there are more people living in my county in NJ then the whole state of montana, which is like 100 times the size.

also there was a promise of badges - i havent seen one yet.
Booooooooooo!

lol. The badges are coming in the beta version. But I'll see if I can copy just that code to the old version so that you can get them a little earlier.

I've renewed until 2016. I should be able to handle renewals by myself from now on so, thanks to all who contributed to our first and last fundraiser!
