No worries Eagle V. These things happen.
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

only to find Kaethos' corpse lying there for no reason at all.

He has most likely stepped on a banana peel. The sumo lardass is especially troublesome with that.
Well I assume that a bolt has a given, numeric, amouunt of perwer. (assi in enegri)... unless it's LAERSER SKISKLS POEWN PEWN!

I think his corpse was not far from the entry point, without a banana peel. Might have rotted though.

Although this is rather weird. He died from a banana peel? Slipping on it must be deadly, damnit! I wonder if they could eradicate monsters like that? Heh heh. Throw one under Elpuri and he'd explode in a fountain of giblets. Petrus would vanish (bar the left nut) from a peel he slips on. Hell, even floating archangels would slip on banana peels they don't even touch and would go back to their respective gods crying.

You know, Kaethos is one legged and unarmored - it's very easy for him to die of slipping

You've never died from it? I'm pretty sure I have when just starting out. I've seen puppies/hedgehogs die from slipping many times

A good trick with banana peels is to make a pile of 50 or so in New Attnam, right in the path of the slaves, and every time one dies, they drop 10 free bananas, which help to add to your evil pile of doom.

You could, of course wait by the drop off point (using S, not . ) until one of the banana growers drops off his bananas and walks off just before a levitating ostrich picks them up. and then kick them away (ignoring the vandalism message) to gain free bananas. It works, as tested by me. No angry townsfolk or anything.

Only one problem with that Jimmy. There are only 5 growers.

Cool! That would have been useful to me several times in the past when I was starving and out of gold.

If you have a constant supply of arms, then sure, why not.

This was described as long as a couple of years ago on the ancient forum as part of a original way to gain the sumo wrestler's belt

Don't do this if you have good LStr or boots of kicking; if you break a banana when you kick it, they will get pissed at you. I just lost a perfectly good character because of this.
