Rooms or "areas separated by walls or partitions from other similar parts of the structure or building in which they are located" are a feature ubiquitous in IVAN, found on every floor and in every dungeon. The rooms in towns represent individual houses while underground, you will find the rooms connected by intersecting corridors.
Dungeon Features
There are several Dungeon Features only found inside of rooms:
- Fountains
- Altars
- Wall mounted Lanterns
- Doors (which can be both locked and trapped)
- Water tiles (which can only be traversed by special means)
Special Rooms
Several predefined rooms can be found throughout the dungeons, including Secret Rooms, Chest Rooms, Dwarven Minefield and others.
See individual pages for the dungeons for more information.
