As its name says - kamikaze. The dwarves are of main reasons to have fire resistance. They carry (at least) a backpack of black powder and a religious book of (random?) god. Since they cannot see invisible, invisibility is one of the better ways to deal with them. Fire resistance is also a useful alternative, but you still risk wand explosions and equipment loss.

Kamikaze dwarves also make interesting pets. With their gunpowder taken away, they tend to beat enemies with their holy books.

Without any means to protect yourself against kamikaze dwarves, you can easily expect to be blown to pieces when the danger level is high enough :)

Any mortal who sets out to make a name for him or herself in the world of IVAN will eventually catch the notice of the gods. And unfortunately that will include making ''at least'' one of them angry at you. This can involve as little as simply having the favor of other gods. (apparently even deities get jealous!)

A god that has become mad enough at you may deploy veteran suicide bombers - reborn kamikaze dwarves carrying over twice the amount of explosives, and the blast from their suicidal detonation is '''devastating'''. Deal with them by either being incredibly fire-resistant (2 rings AND cloak) or at a distance with wands of lightning, striking, or fireballs. The latter two will set off the dwarf's explosives.

== Strategy ==

If you're quick enough to tame or kill these fanatics before they can light the fuses, their backpacks are handy for setting up explosive boobytraps for particularly nasty monsters. Or just set them loose to go kaboom on the nearest baddy if you're reasonably sure they won't blow up something important.

Their one-track mind might provide some assistance to attaining the High Priest ending if you tame enough of them. Just let the would-be martyrs run loose in Attnam laden with all the explosives they can carry until you're ready, attack a patrol guard, and watch the fireworks...
