− | Endurance determines how many HP you have, and how quickly you regain those hit points after being injured.
| + | In development: |
| | | |
− | Each point of endurance adds a few HP to the torso and a smaller number to the head, groin and each limb. This only applies to natural fleshy limbs, not inorganic Articifial Limbs.

| | | |
− | The player character is always generated with 10 End which results in 37 HP; making it the only attribute that has a constant value for each new character rather than a random number between 7 and 13. However, Endurance can be decreased to 9 or lower in-game by e.g. contaminated fountain water.

| + | Current release: |
| | | |
− | Endurance increases by regaining a lot of lost HP (particularly if you survive an explosion without fire protection and heal your wounds). Note that healing with Healing Liquid or troll blood does NOT count towards increasing your End as those are not natural ways of healing. The same applies for wand of ressurection or any other ways of healing yoursefl without resting.
| + | * 0.50 (10. 12. 2004) |
| | | |
− | Drinking Ommel Snot automatically increases your endurance, while eating School food has a chance of increase ("You get a toughness point for surviving this stuff.") but always poisons you.
| + | Previous versions: |
| | | |
− | Having leprosy for prolonged periods of time or vomitting a lot seem to occasionally lower endurance ("You feel less healthy.").

− | Losing limbs will mean less maxHP as the maxHP of the lost limb will not be included into the total maxHP. The maxHP of artificial limbs are independent of your endurance, taking the material strength into account instead. Your endurance also cannot make your artificial limbs to regain lost HP, they can be only repaired.
