Great starting weapons for their low weight and high speed, it is reasonable to stick with these weapons even into the later game. There are no special short swords, but [[Saal'Thul]] and [[Gorovits family sickle]] belong here.

== [[Large swords|Large Swords]] ==

Sharp pieces of metal used for chopping the limbs off their rightful owners, large swords are great weapons dealing loads of damage. However, if you wield one of the two-handers, you won't be able to attack more than once per turn and you have lower chance to parry. Still, [[Flaming sword]] is a wonderful weapon to have and the magnificent broad sword [[Justifier]] also falls in here.
