Taking items from or putting items into the coffin results in a small alignment shift toward chaotic and will spawn up to 10 [[ghosts]]. Breaking the coffin with a pickaxe will also spawn up to 9 ghosts.
No documentation exists on the coffin's true purpose, but it has been speculated that due to its inclusion at around the same time as [[Khaz-zadm|Khaz-zadm the zombie]] it may be intended to be his final resting place, and where he spawns if the coffin is disturbed.
