Great starting weapons for their low weight and high speed, it is reasonable to stick with these weapons even into the later game. There are no special small swords, but [[Saal'Thul]] belong here.

Massive pieces of metal used for chopping the limbs off their rightful owners, large swords are slightly disadvantaged by their weight - it requires very high strength to hold one of them in one hand, giving you only one attack per turn and one chance to parry. Still, [[Flaming sword]] is a wonderful weapon to have and the magnificent broad sword [[Justifier]] also falls in here.
