===Praying=== Like Valpurus, you should only pray to Mortifer after being called his Champion. Once you are his champion, he will reward you with a "heavy weapon of pure corruption", which is the ancient mace named [[Neerc Se-Ulb]]. Unlike most artifact weapons, Neerc Se-Ulb is always enchanted +6 by default. Neerc Se-Ulb has a life-draining attack that kicks in every once in a while, which transfers hit points from the victim to the wielder. Using Neerc Se-Ulb will also cause the wielder to gradually become more [[chaotic]]. He may also send an [[angel]] or Erado, his Archangel, to assist you. If you are not his Champion, a bolt of black energy will hit you, which wounds you and possibly destroys some of your equipment. If he is extremely angry, he may also send an [[angel]] to destroy you. ===Altars=== [[Image:Mortifer.png]] There are no fixed locations for Mortifer's altar; you may find it randomly in the [[Underwater Tunnels]] or [[Gloomy Caves]] ===Aligned Items=== Offering these items to Mortifer at his altar will result in a greater bonus towards your relation with Him: [[Scythe]], [[Mace|Neerc Se-ulb]], [[Skull|Crystal Skull]] Simple Bones and Skulls are ignored, but materials such as ommel bone and crystalized skulls are greatly appreciated.
