Unstopped bleeding after one hit...dead

I get hurt by a spider once and never stop bleeding and died. And you find that fun? Ok wrong question, what could I have done?

Bleeding doesn't cause damage (it's a result of damage). More likely, the spider bite poisoned you. However the bite itself must have dealt a pretty good amount of damage for the poison to have killed you... even snakebites are rarely fatal for anything but a very early character.

giant spider bites are deadly with 37 HP,
as for what to do: stop and heal or pray to Seges, or put on a ring or poison resistance

Ok thanks, some times before I got bite by a spider and poisoned but it didn't last long and I didn't remember bleeding (but I remember the poisoned state).
In Ultima Underworld, I got poisoned few times but it was ok and once I saw it was bad then I start eating every stuff I had and found one that cure poison. I highly doubt it's hazard, just good design.
Anyway ok and I admit it was funny to see the dog eat a kobold corpse and sleep, nice hint design.

Ha well, ok, I don't like jokes/humor in games even less in CRPG but I admit I got a good series from talking with the tourist families.
Another good point I notice, it's few good hints got from talk, well for some I hope it's really a hint and not only a joke.
