Using Scrolls of Change Material to make Pepsi
I've just recently started playing Ivan a few weeks back, after being introduced to it by a friend. Of course I wanted to find out some of facts so I checked out the Wiki. I ended up reading the materials and i noticed that there was Pepsi. "Pepsi?" I asked "Why, that's just as out of place as communism!".
Well what is Pepsi? Pepsi is a carbonated beverage not unlike coke. It has a strength rating of 200 and a flexibility rating of 50.
So I decided to check it out, and experimented (in wizard mode to start) with this Pepsi (among others).
LIMBS:
Pepsi boosts Str by 100 and dex/agi by 100 per limb respective of arm or leg. With 4 Pepsi limbs you get all around 200 to Str/Dex/Agi
It sets HP at 375 with 4 Pepsi limbs... meaning 94 HP per limb.
At 4 Pepsi limbs, it becomes a potent force with high strength and high dex/agi. When it comes to balancing your str and agi/dex this is probably the best material for changed limbs. It gives enough str to carry whatever you want and to hit hard. It gives the dex/agi to outmaneuver any enemy, even Shirarax. In fact you can move fast enough to close the distance and hit her several times before she hits you. It gives lower hp than other limbs, but at least this way you won't summon that crazy mad wizard or some more powerful monsters till later.
(some other materials of note include Golden Eagle feather (150/50) and gaseous materials (0/150). Mixing the two in legs is about equal to 2 pepsi legs. If you have a really strong leg, you can sacrifice lstr with the other by using gas, but then you get exausted. Gas arms can only be used with gas gauntlets of strenght plus a lot with gas weapons. Surprisingly with a bunch of gas limbs, the gauntlets, and two gas whips (unupped) you can even go so far as to take on an Ommel Bone Golem. Acidic blood i think is a slightly weaker version of pepsi.).
I found belts of levitation become overpowered with this, and that when i was wearing them I was almost impervious to any attack, with decent armor even several dwarfs in a row didn't kill me.
Whips:
Pepsi whips of thievery/chameleon +0 (1600g 18-32dmg decently accurate impervious to breakage)
Other whips I think do 12-18 or 12-22 damage i think.
At 18-32 dmg with no special enchantments makes Pepsi the best material for whips, and damage wise makes whips potentially the strongest weapon in the game. The side benefits can be cool too: Thievery disarms opponents, chameleon poly morphs them. And of course you don't have to worry about breakage which is actually pretty great. Obviously enchanting improves accuracy.
(Alternatives: Lighter materials decrease damage but improve accuracy.)
So...
Is Pepsi the new Valpurium? I'll leave it to you to decide.
