I'm working on the new website, pretty much from scratch. Here is a preview
http://www.attnam.com/beta/

It will be updated almost daily... I would appreciate any comments as it goes along. Right now, ignore that the menu buttons are blue and don't match the black/gold appearance. But let me know what you think about the Sherry/Golgor Dhan graphic & logo. Too big? Doesn't look right? Anything at all

It looks good, better than the current design, it looks more like a whole instead of the seperate rectangles we have now for the logo, the banner, and so on.

What I like about the current is how the active buttons in the left and top menu attach to the background of the main screen, if you know what I mean. It would be great to have that incorporated in the new site as well. It looks like you started to do this already (as the buttons on the beta site fit seamlessly on the central part) but I fear the sub-menus in "downloads" and "forum" might screw that 'everything fits together' feeling. Then again, that might change completely once you start fiddling with the colors.

The logo itself is nice, the right size, and the right place, the way I see it.

Overall, a good design, and I like it.

Thanks Eagle. I know what you mean about the buttons attaching to the main screen. I was definitely planning to do the same thing with the existing buttons, but I'm not sure how I'll do it with the submenus.

Any other comments? I'm particularly concerned about the size of the logo & sherry & golgor dhan for those with smaller resolution screens.

Looks excellent on 1024x768, 15" non-wide laptop screen. What I like more about the current design is the menu on the left instead of above.

Really? My only thought with that was that even though it's only about 500px tall, there is a lot of blank space underneath it which constricts the width for topics and everything else on smaller screens.

I think the current design looks fine as far as that is concerned. My display is slightly larger than 1024x768 but I don't think the extra blank space hurts the display potential *that* much. Honestly, if it were me I would make it a selectable option if I were concerned about people wanting more width at the expense of the top being larger (defaulting to the current side menu, though).
