Well, it's me again. So... I've been following Nefas alot this playthrough, have 3 mistresses following me around UT. But.. my last prayer that netted me my third, also gave me a Holy Banana. Should I eat it, keep it, or.. what should I do with this peculiar thing.

Edit: I've decided to eat the silly Holy banana, and gained... alot of things. But I'd also like to know if there was any other use for it. o.o

You can press 'z' to zap it like a wand of fireballs. However, when I find them I usually just eat them. It increases each of your stats by one - but notice that it also makes you bloated from overeating for a long period of time, which will drop your agility considerably.

However, for that very reason it is a marvelous defense against starvation (the part where it can't rot away helps too). Note that if you decide to use it as a starvation guard (or as a wand of fireballs, or both) that as it can be can zapped like a wand of fireballs, so too can it be broken like one (and as such will explode in your face and likely turn you into a great big mess of fleshy chunks).

I see, I'll remember that if I get my hands on another, thanks guys.

Edit: I thought I'd put it here in the same topic so I'm not flooding the section or anything. An Ommel Golem had been spawned on the floor and before I could get to it (Due to my legion of mistresses which keep hitting each other for who knows why) decimated it, so, when I went to eat the lump, the Golem had engraved "Golem Wants Master" or something along those lines. Was I supposed to approach it, try to talk to it, or.. use some sort of taming scroll or something?

All the golems writes that on the floor, so I don't think you'll gain something extra for taming them.
Haha, first time I found the banana i saw that it had the dmg 0-1 and I had no other weapon. So, I obviously use it as one. That was a complete failure. It blasted the hell out of me and taught me a valuable lesson, eat bananas as fast as you can!

I always wondered, does the writing do anything? or is it just a flavor message? Is it a humor referance to some something?

It's probably referring to the fact that golems are usually created by someone wanting slaves/guards. These don't have one, but as they are made to serve they declare that they need a master. It also serves as good advance warning as golems tend to be quite powerful.

Eh, the most I've run into non light crystal floor are Ommel-based, and.. a octiron one. Then the Spider Silk one, but I've only found that once in the UT.

I'm just going to use this thread, and make it the official LIVAN advice thread, I guess, because I have a question.

On another game, I had gotten leprosy, and my left leg fell off, so I prayed to Silva, who I had good relations with, and she gave me a new leg of I think black leather, a material that I have never seen in the normal IVAN. Is there any official material list for LIVAN? And if so, can someone link it to me?

I meant for LIVAN, not IVAN.

Black leather? You sure it wasn't kevlar? (Kevlar is a bit of a secret IVAN material; I could have sworn it was listed on the wiki)

Alternatively, you may be able to get your question answered by fooling around in wizmode in LIVAN; there are commands that you can use in wizmode that output text files with spoilers in them.

Black Leather doesn't exist in IVAN, though I've seen it sometimes in LIVAN, for example the guy in New Attnam where the guy who wants a Mondedr Pass only wears things that are made of black leather. He's called the mystery man when you examine him.

Okay, a few more questions. I am playing LIVAN, of course, and my meteoric steel sword that is covered in blood keeps rusting. I killed a dark frog, so I assume that it's blood is rusting it, but it won't go away, the blood. It's annoying.

Also, on GC3, I encountered an artifact which I believe is an artifact new in LIVAN. It is the extremely heavy battle-axe named Demonhead. Now, before selling it or using it or whatnot, I want to know if it has any special powers or anything, preferably not like Turox.

Edit: Holy shit. Merka will pay 3000 for Demonhead. Considering that I am not using it, I think it will be best to sell it, but I'd rather get advice from an experienced LIVAN player first.

Edit 2: Ahh, the acidic blood has worn off from my sword.

There are no experienced LIVAN players, incidentally, I don't think anyone experienced actually plays LIVAN, and certainly not regularly.

Speaking for myself I played is a few times, but it seems really bloated and unbalanced (unlike .50 which is perfectly balance....in favor of you getting slaughtered LOL! ).

Yes LIVAN is much more unbalanced but I play it every once in a while, it's nice to see new areas to explore and new items. I've never encountered the Demonhead though. I did notice a "bug" once where my sword was stained with blood indefinitely. I wonder if it became "permastained" in the same way that you can get permanent telecontrol for example - too much blood?

Permanently imbued weapons would be neat, but also rather broken. A permanently acidified whip would be terribly good.

I don't think Demonhead has any special powers... but if you enchant it a lot it does some heavy damage.

I dunno if I count as an experienced player but LIVAN and the web IVAN are all I've played for a long time now, LIVAN much more so than web IVAN.

I play LIVAN quite a lot too.
Urgh. Blood in LIVAN is the worst. Never take out an assassin at close range, that's my advice.
System would indicate in graphic if person is mounted on horse or not.
Same system also show if person mounted on boar, elephant, polar bear etc.
Or if person mounted on ass.
Ivan find mounting on ass funny.

What's wrong with the blood in LIVAN?
