Tested. Enner can't break wands. At all. No matter where they are.

I'm just testing it now. Enner can't make wands explode, which is what I initially thought, hence my "what?" post above. It'll break from you throwing it, but not from Enner. I'm positive on this one because Enner spawned right on top of a wand of lightning and it still hasn't broken after 100+ turns.

(it was for the Acid Shield, which as I recall the devs were going to implement but never got around to)
It's in the CVS.

If you want to try something other than halberds, I can tell you that two-handed scimitars will play similarly. They also deal more damage than halberds, and you can wield one single-handedly more easily than a halberd.

Yesterday I had a game where I got a scroll of wishing and a wand of mirroring (amongst other things) before getting to UT3. Unfortunately UT2 was also infested with MMs, and a werewolf got him.

People with higher leg strength will have an advantage anyway. Also, having to go back and forth will advantage people with higher agility. Randomly generated stats means some games will have advantages over others.

The reason I suggested you not bother with taking the items back is that since you've placed a time limit that's just wasted time going back and forth, not to mention that, as cow noted, the weight limit adds to the strategy. By the way I would like to stress that this is just a suggestion, it's your challenge.

I don't think you should have to get back to NA and lay out the items. The biggest obstacle here is weight management. Just have people screenshot their inventory at the moment it becomes day 2.

Surviving Enner is simply a matter of luck. If he spawns off in a corner it's very easy to survive, as the further away you are the less damage he does. If he spawns right next to the stairs an adamantine platemail won't save you.
